Subject: PeaCoats And 74 Degree Weather
I was watching my copy of the episode "Andy's English Valet" and have an
observation. Malcolm Merriweather comes in and gives Andy his morning paper
at breakfast and tells him it is 74 degrees out. Now if you live in the south
and it is 74 degrees out in the morning, it is going to turn into a mighty
warm day by afternoon. Later in the day it shows Barn and Andy. Barney is
wearing his peacoat (winter sheriff's jacket). Aunt Bee puts her coat on when
she is leaving for the bus in the beginning of the episode. Isn't it a might
warm to be wearing such winter attire? Makes me want to reach for the
lemonade as I watch it to cool off!

contains floor plans and downtown layouts of TAGS and many other shows. The
plans are not exact, because as we know there is some variation from episode
to episode.
Similar plans are included in the book "Mayberry, My Hometown" by Stephen
Spignesi. Both of these books are available from The Bullet.

During its original run, TAGS was on Monday nights on CBS. As far as the
time slots, here's a breakdown (all times Eastern):

This was a tough question, but my answer would have to be Helen. Why? She
gets to spend the most time with Ange. She wouldn't exactly be my favorite of
his girlfriends but she was obviously the dearest to him.She is a very
independent woman with a career and doesn't seem to feel the need to marry
any time soon. She doesn't even mind confessing the fact that she is a
terrible cook. Thelma Lou is her best friend, which is a plus too. The
clincher though is that she's Andy's girl. What better reason than that to be

well, it's me again, i was out of the 'loop' for awhile, and couldn't keep up
