Since I live in Ohio, I was curious just which "small Ohio town" that Joe A. Gritton had his Man-in-a-Hurry experience. (Hope I did this right since this is my first posting) Kathy ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Aug 2000 22:51:15 -0500 From: Kirk Green <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: New TAGS website Well folks, I think Joe Gritton should get the prize for best answer to= the "Who and which episode would you be in?" question with his real life "M= an In a Hurry" experience. It's nice to hear stories of life reflecting art reflecting life. I think we can refer to TAGS as Art can't we? Speaking= of art and stepping into a TAGS episode, I'd like to invite my fellow WBMU= TBB members to stop by for a visit at the new Mayberry Pickle Store website= . The front page is a spinoff of episode 43, the Pickle Story. You can tune i= n and watch a little BarneyVision and in the "Also Starring..." section, I've= digitally stepped into a couple scenes with Andy, Barney, and Floyd. Hope you enjoy it. It could be 74 in the morning, 50 by noon and 32 by 5 PM, but not usually. Since Mayberry, Mt. Airy, is in the mountains, it could very well change from 74 to 40 in 12 hours or less, and a peacoat would feel real good! I remember how I caught cold here in Raleigh one time. I had to walk back to my office to get something I needed, and from the time I had gone in to the building until I went to the office, the temperature had dropped 19 degrees from, believe it or not, 74 to 55! That was in about an hour! I tell you, that peacoat would have come in might handy, but I had even left my suit coat behind and shirtsleeves didn't help a lot! Y'all have a great day and don't forget to laugh! wsims the camera nut. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 08:00:44 EDT From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: those coat-wearing characters In a message dated 08/15/2000 10:08:56 PM Central Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << Barney is wearing his peacoat (winter sheriff's jacket). Our numbers are always increasing. I think it's safe to say that no one is ever sorry about being an Andy Griffith Show fan. Our new members include a magician (bet I know HIS favorite episodes), students and teachers, a couple of EMTs, preachers, a really lucky guy who goes to Mt. Airy on a whim to eat pork chop sandwiches (it's not a whim if you change underwear), a PHG (pharmacy guy), people with bunches of pets, grandmas, grandpas, babes in arms. The last issue of THE BULLET will be next spring. You'll be getting all your information and stories here on the web from then on. THE BULLET will be missed but it will allow Jim Clark time to work on other projects that he has in mind. 20 years of publishing a newsletter is a long time. Jim says he'll stay in touch with us all here on the internet and publish stories on the web site from time to time. Kind of an online "Bullet". I am puzzled over the radical change to the character of Gomer from TAGS to GP-USMC. Gom' was no rocket surgeon on TAGS to be sure, but he gave the impression that he could account for himself reasonably well. On GP-USMC the character was much sweeter and softer, seemed to more "lost" than the old Gomer. Am I making any sense at all? Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have any insight that could shed light on this situation?
