Concerning "Citizen's Arrest" by Donald E. Robinson

What an exercise in deductive reasoning! I am very impressed! Perhaps
this is an exercise I should try with my eighth graders. :)

I am so looking forward to the reunion in Birmingham! Of course, I
can't talk my husband into coming, but I'm planning to be there! I've never
been to one before, or really to anything like that. What can I expect?

I, too, would like to know if there will be a special place/time to meet.
There are at least two folks, so far, from our group that read the Digest and
we'd be "Pickled Tink" to get to meet others. Maybe Alan can shed some light
on this subject? If there is not a particular thing going on, I welcome
emails from those of you going so we can set up something ourselves. Darin, I
am glad you asked!! Crystal M. in AL

Hello Friends, Does anyone know anything about a book written by Andy's late
son who I believe was known as Sam even though he was a Jr.? I think it was
called, "I'm not Opie" or something like that. Has anyone read it or heard
anything about it? Thanks, Maria
>>>

I've heard of the book, but I've never been able to locate a copy. I think
that's the correct title. Andy Griffith's adopted son was named Sam Andy
Griffith, and my understanding is that the two of them never did get along
very well, hence the title. Sam is deceased.

That would be the TAGSRWC web site

http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/

When you get there you'll see a link for "Themes & Screen Savers". The
Wallpaper is there as are instructions on how to use them on either a PC or a
Mac.

You folks ought to drop by the TAGSRWC site and spend some time looking
around. I may start sending out a "suggested link" for you to visit every
week or so to help y'all find some of the best stuff on the site.

*****WBMTBB MEETING AT EVENTS*****

We will have a time set at both Mayberry Days (just after the trivia contest)
and at the Birmingham, AL event. I'm not sure exactly when we'll get together
in Birmingham but the Trivia Contest at Mayberry Days is always a good chance
to meet up and we'll meet BEFORE the TAGSRWC meeting on Saturday. I suggest
that we meet IN LINE at the TAGSRWC Meeting while folks are waiting to get
in. That should be time for all the WBMUTBB folks to meet one another and
talk some.

So, for Mayberry Days.

Friday, September 29th
WBMUTBB Meeting at the Andy Griffith Playhouse grounds following the trivia
Contest. (some time around 5pm) This is our longest chance to visit.

Saturday, September 30th
In front of the Downtown Cinema between the Professor Brower's Lecture & the
TAGSRWC Meeting & Dinner (some time around 4pm)

I wanted to relate a brief story about a conversation I had with a
co-worker the other day. This fellow sits around the corner from me in
my office building, but we don't really work on the same project, so
usually I just said hi to him in the hallway. Well the other day, I
went into the office pantry for a cup of coffee and this fellow was in
there. He said to me "I heard you're an Andy Griffith Show fan". Of
course, I was wondering what rock he just crawled out from under, but I
just said "yes I am". Of course, I was standing there with my Barney
Fife coffee mug in my hand! Anyway, he said he just loved watching the
show, especially Andy Mondays on Nick at Nite (don't know if he gets TV
Land). I asked if he was aware that there is a world-wide fan club
(TAGSRWC) and an Internet chapter of the fan club (WBMUTBB). He said he
was not! So, as soon as I got back to my desk, I fired off an email to
him containing the URLs to the web pages for TAGSRWC and WBMUTBB, as
well as the Surry Arts Council web page (He also didn't know about
Mayberry Days). I felt like I was bringing a lost soul into the fold!

I wanted to say thanks to Anita for sending in the post about the
Morgantown, WV web site. I had not seen it before, and enjoyed looking
through it. As a former resident of our favorite deputy's home town
(while in college), I learned (through the web site) that Morgantown has
changed quite a bit since I lived there. I look forward to going back
for my college homecoming this November and driving down Don Knotts
Boulevard.

Where Do I Go?

Where do I go
At the end of the day
When I'm weary and tired
From my work or my play?
When I'm too tired to clean
Or to cook or to eat,
Or to cheer up a friend
With a word or a treat,
When my world is complex
In the worst kind of way
And I just need to stop
And remember the days
When life was more simple
And skies were more blue
Families were faithful
And friendship was true,
There's a place I can go
And forget for a while
Just sit down and share
A joke, a smile or
A side-splitting laugh
Sending tears to my eyes.
Relaxing my heart
And making me wise
And thankful for all of the
Things in my life
Reality days
And Mayberry nights.

<< Hey what is Mayberry Days?? >>

To read all about Mayberry Days, go to the TAGSRWC web site
(http://mayberry.com/tagsrwc/) and visit "What's New." There you'll find
links to both "Mt. Airy, NC" (where Mayberry Days is held) and "Mayberry Days
Reports & Photos."

You'll also want to drop by the "Event Calendar" on the main page of TAGSRWC.
There's information there about exactly when Mayberry Days is held (the last
weekend in Sept.) and information about the schedule of events at Mayberry
Days.
