Opened the Richmond Times-Dispatch Monday morning and
on the front page read: Stress fills
Kosovo....'Bud-nipping, That's what we're doing'. One
of the troops was quoted as having said this.
In reference to those of you talking about everyone
getting out of the same door of their cars...I noticed
in the episode (don't know the name)where Barney tries
to close the old case between Floyd and Foley and
starts the fighting all over again that when Barney
drives up with Goober at the court house.. it appears
that Goober is sitting in the center of the seat right
next to Barney. Then Goober proceeds to get out of the
door closest to the camera and Barney get out on the
other side. I really loved the whole weekend of Andy
on TVLand.....Don

I would also contribute to our group buying our own network; I enjoyed
the 72 hours of Barney
and Andy that I felt "lonely" all day yesterday. Felt as if "company"
had gone home after a long visit. Wish it could be like that everyday.
But the digest surely does help you feel all better. Thanks Allan!!!

Howdy once again, Fatman at the keyboard, man this is some kind of
record....anywho, famous and flashy Deborah axed (northern term for ye
brethren above the mason dixon) me about yalls and such, I guess it's a
matter of personal preference, it was always "yall" as a word in itself to
me, but I aint knocking your kick...as to being mean by calling me fatman,
not at all....it's so funny in this "politically correct" world that thaings
can't be what they really are...I guess I could be a jackass and demand that
I am "gravitationally challenged" or "undertall" or density disabled, but ya
know what, I am me, Love God, country, children & Mayberry, hope all of ye
live happy lives and when I look in the mirror, am still fat....so love
oneanother, be kind to somebody ya don't have to and save one of them little
lemon cookies from the diner for me, OK?

Subject: "new" scenes

>>>One thing that always amazes me about TAGS or any show is that no matter
how many times you see an episode, you catch something new.

Mike Peacock
>>>

This is especially true if you watched TAGS for years on TBS or WGN and are
now watching it on TV Land. All three networks show (or did show)
incomplete episodes, but TV Land does show some scenes that were never aired
on TBS or WGN, most notably the epilogues. While watching the most recent
marathon, I was very surprised to see a few little bits that I had NEVER
seen before, mostly in the episodes from the first season.

Did anybody manage to get the entire TAGS fandemonium weekend on tape? If
so, I'd love to get copies if possible, because most of the episodes in my
library were taped from TBS, therefore I'm missing a few scenes here and
there.

Speaking of noticing something new, have you ever tried watching TAGS with
the sound turned off, or listening to it with the picture off? You can also
pick up a lot of things that way that you never noticed before. You see,
instead of just sittin' there, you gotta use all your senses!

This is my first time to ask a question, so please bear with me. I remember
as a kid watching TAGS and the ending was different. It showed andy and Opie
leaving the fishing hole with their catch. Opie drops one of the fish and
wipes it off on his jeans. Does anybody else remember this? Why is it
different now? Didn't know who else to ask but to "Call the man!"

Just another "fun girl"

As Andy said, "This morning I sure wasn't happy that boat had a hole in it
but right now I wouldn't take a $1.00 and a quarter for it." Well, I'm
putting up a $1.00 and a half to get a station started showing all TAGS. If
Ted Turner was really smart he wouldn't have sold TAGS to Viacom, he
would've started a 24 hour TAGS station. It could show all TAGS, all the
spin-offs (Mayberry RFD, Gomer Pyle USMC, Matlock, etc.) and movies those
actors were/are in (Face In The Crowd, Ghost and Mr. Chicken, etc.). It
would be more than just a TAGS 24 hours station. Only one word for it -
BIG!!!!!!! They could name the station Andy and Friends.

On a reflective note, I sure was sorry to hear about Ron's mom passing on.
My heart felt prayers go out to the family.

Harriet

Laura Lee -
I agree with you about Gomer, his mama really raised
him right. I love that episode with Mary Grace and
the line about her "going to the dance unadorned."

I recently caught an episode of "Gomer Pyle" and it
was the one where Sgt. Carter and his girlfriend Bunny
break up and Gomer and Lou Anne try to get them back
together - Gomer was such a doll - pulling out Lou
Anne's chair, helping her with her coat, asking her
what she wanted to do. Sgt. Carter really paled by
comparison.

Speaking of kissing and mashing it up, is there any episode where the Goober
man gets/gives a big smooch? I don't mean any of this casual nuzzling with
his girl Flora either.... my
first week back at college, hey guys, I got a chance to view some of the
TVLand Fandemonium a friend taped for me. Should have been more color
episodes. Of course, if I was in charge
there'd be a TAGS marathon of every episode followed by a Mayberry RFD and
then Gomer Pyle USMC one. But life isn't perfect (unfortunately). My illness
is Gooberitis so naturally the
best cure for that is to nurture it as much as possible. I promise I will try
to keep up with the wbmutbb despite my rather heavy academic schedule. But I
really can't do without
George Lindsey. It's too long a story to go into. But when I was only a tiny
tot I first saw him on tv and you know how these first crushes are. And an
incredibly big thanks to Allan
for having the TAGS site cause I know there's lots of understanding people
out there on how I feel about the Goober man.
Goob can work on my Beamer any day of the week (sigh!!!!!!!!)(it's the same
color as his eyes)

Subject: Kissing

I can't resist a couple more kissing stories.
Remember when Andy kissed Helen in the jewelry store.
He wouldn't have done that unless he had been hit by a
transport of emotion.

And this note on Gomer and Thelma Lou kissing. Since
we've been talking about YELLING on the digest, Barney
was telling Andy that they were kissing. " I seen em
Andy, I seen em with my own eyes. They were kissing,
you couldn't have gotten a piece of tissue paper
between em, they were that close." Andy- "Kissing?"
Barney - "KISSING"

Buzz Fluehart

Everybody sure is in a jaw kissing mood today.
