Hellooooooooo Dollllllllllllllll,

I found a site that lists all TAGS episodes scheduled with synopsis up to
the end of October. It also lists Matlock episodes and movies for that
period that Andy was in as well.

No Time For Sergeants will be on AMC on 10/6 at 8pm and again on10/16 at
10:15.

Check out the site at

www.tv-now.com/stars/andy.html

Gotta run-- Me 'n the girls are headed out for some fun in Mt.Pilot tonight.

Hey To All,
I have been sitting here pondering the subject as I silently read what people
thought. Here is the pickle. In "Dogs, Dogs, Dogs", the storm that blew up
and and kept Opie in the courthouse would have blown west to east (unless
Mayberry was having a Nor'easter). If I remember correctly, Andy look to the
right of the courthouse out the window before holding Opie back from going
home because of the storm. But THEN, Barney clearly was looking out the
window to the left when he was pondering the dogs in the field and talked
about how they would do and his famous thoughts of Giraffes.

Because Andy was looking out the window to the right as it blew in, I assumed
the courthouse was facing south as the storm blew in from the west. I am out
of town so can't watch my episode to back me up. The storm was already
rumbling over or through Mayberry as Barney looked out the window which mean
the storm was moving east.

Okay here's my two cents for Opie's piggy bank,
Sandi

fans!! there are so many pictures in there that i have never seen before. it
is hard back with a dust cover and runs about $35. >>

Hey To All,
For those of us who were unable to attend this year's MDs, is this book
headed toward bookstores everywhere or obtainable through a reliable source?

I am not only out of town somewhere else, but I have had a loss Tuesday of my
11yr old companion cocker spaniel. I WOULD love to see and have this book.

TLEE,

Welcome to the list, glad to see you posting. My home of record is at my in
laws house in Jackson.......but I have an address in East TN these days.
Presently, I am on the USS Enterprise, hence my email address. Where about
ya from, and do ya play any bluegrass? Love the Dillards. Made it to
Meadowview this year and last.

Spotted Allan Melvin last night with a choice role on Dick Van Dyke. You
know, Allan had a long and prosperous career not only of good guest shots
like he did on DVD and TAGS, but he had some good recurring roles that go
all the way back to Phil Silvers to Gomer to Archie's Place. Never the
star, always the 2nd banana. Just shows you us 2nd bananas sometimes do all
right.

Hello all! Tim is soooooooooo right!! The book is a must! I just got mine
yesterday and can't put it down. I would have put it under my pillow at
bedtime so as to be sure and have Mayberry dreams, but was afraid I'd muss
the dust jacket!! Seriously, though, it is absolutely beautiful and worth
every penny it costs. I highly recommend it to everyone!
As for all you folks going to Mayberry Days, hope you all have a wonderful
time. Please be sure to think of all of us less fortunate folks just sitting
at home wishing we were there!! I sure hope I get to meet some of you at the
Reunion show in Birmingham on October 7.

The correct answer IS North! The clue I received was the same one Charlie
gave. At the end of "The Clubmen," Opie, Andy and Barney face the rising
sun and turn to face the cells. If that direction was East, the Front door
would be on the North side of the building.
>>>

I concur. The two other episodes that confirm the direction are as follows:

Hot Rod Otis: when Barney gives Otis his driving exam, he draws chalk lines
on the floor, and tells Otis to pull up from the west (the west! the west!),
and...

Divorce, Mountain Style: when Barney finally succeeds in getting his
uncooperative mount to travel east to west, he rides right past Andy's
house, which is just a half-block away from the courthouse and on the same
side of the street.

During the episodes when there are scenes on the outside of the courthouse
the sun is always shining on the front of the building, therefore is faces
south. Another way is to view old overhead photos of the studio lot.

Howdy Mayberryites! Since you're talking about which direction the courthouse
is facing, I have another question. How far is the courthouse from Andy's
house. Opie walks down there all the time. Even Aunt Bee does to bring Andy and
Barney their lunch (you know how Barney gets when he don't eat with his low
blood sugar). Sometimes Barney drives the squad car home and Andy walks to
work. So, how far do you think it is?

Subject: what's that song?

I saw the Loaded Goat episode today and was wondering about the song Barney
plays as they walk the goat out of town. Is it Neeta...Juanita? I've never
really heard the Juanita song except when Barn sings that one line in another
episode - it sounds like it could be the same song.
