Concerning the graduation date of Andy and Barney being 1948. Many WWII vets
finished High School when they returned from the war. So Barney and Andy
could have graduated in 1948 and also served in WWII.
Did you ever think about that?

Concerning the graduation date of 1948. After WWII many vets went back to
school to finish their education. It could be that Andy and Barney did that.
That would solve the problem of them serving in the service and graduating at
the same time.
Did you ever think about that?

TAGS fans,
I'm sorry, the link to see the "All Andy all the time" cartoon somehow
got split. It should be

Thanks, Sam

To Doug in Montgomery.......

That is what I meant about Andy's reaction to Barney clashing those cymbals
behind him. If Andy was wearing some kind of hearing protection his acting
was wonderful, like always........but.........if he wasn't wearing hearing
protection then I can imagine his reaction was automatic and he had ringing
ears for a bit afterward.

To any and all Louisville, Ky./Jefferson County cable subscribers who are big
TAGS fans like I am, Insight cable recently added -- for free -- TV Land to
it's Classic package lineup. I was surprised to find this out shortly before
the 10 p.m. TAGS episode last night (Tues.)
Needless to say, I am a very happy camper and wanted to bring it to
everyone's attention from Louisville, Ky.!! It's about time we got TV Land!!

Hey Carl
I will write TVland today and ask them to put TAGS back on more.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if they had a 'MayberryFest' like they did for
Charlies Angels? I think a weeklong 'MayberryFest' would be great.

My memory for history (both history that I experienced AND the history I learned
in school) is not great, but didn't WWII end in 1945? Now the bonus
questions....(1) who can explain the Emancipation Proclamation and (2) what was
the shot heard round the world?

Hey To All,

I wasn't gonna reply to this but I have been pondering on this while I did a
project I am working on...
To have have something personal that has her own handwriting on it!! That is
like having someone's autograph (well, in another way!)! I am in awe Rod.
What does Aunt Bee's handwriting look like? Is it frilly and pretty? I wish
I could see it in your den...is it framed?

Ohhh to have a handkerchief used by Aunt Bee! Landsakes! That gives me
goosebumps! That is as good as getting a offspring of her cat! Achoo!

Can ya tell how much I like Aunt Bee and Frances? I would have loved to seen
her in her gardening outfit in her garden with her $5 rake!

It's been such a tough three weeks...thanks kindly for the smile!
Let me go admire the pickle stash!

You are amazing! Never heard so many good references in one shot! The folks
at "who's been messin' up the bulletin board" would be proud!

I found this at http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb. I had to email a
"request" to join, and the "host" had to review my request. The next day I
got word that I'd been accepted (ept after all!) But, you know, it wouldn't
be much of a club if they let ever'body in!

There are a lot of other clubs (I've been meaning to check out "Pa, just what
can you do with a grown woman? -- sounds like it might be a good one!)

I just went under an andy griffith search but did not take the hours involved
to browse them all - let me know what you come up with!!

Subject: Brisco's mustache

I have seen two Darling episodes lately and noticed something. The left
side of Brisco's mustache is much longer than the right. Wonder what
that was about?

Also.....don't want to be negative. But since TV LAND bought the rights
to Andy, I sure wish they would keep it on at a regular time.AND, I see
another Emergency marathon coming up this weekend. I just don't see it
as a classic show by any means. But......a little Andy is better than
nothing.

Also......I wonder if there is a way to find out what TV LAND's most
popular show would be?????????

no such address. Would you double check and give it to us again?

>>>Paul, how did you come across obtaining the last will and testament [of
Frances Bavier]?

I can't recall for certain who sent it to me (it was someone in this
chapter, several years ago), but I have heard others say that they got a
copy from Russell Hiatt, owner of Floyd's City Barber Shop in Mt. Airy. If
you're bound to have a copy maybe he could send you one.
