For those of you who like Southern Gospel music, you know this story, but I
think we have a parallel here. For 10 straight years, Anthony Burger, the
pianist for The Kingsmen, won the Best Musician award given at the National
Quarter Convention. The only way anybody else ever won was after they named
the award after him and took him out of competition!

For the same reason, I don't think Paul should be allowed to play our trivia
games. Anytime he plays, the rest of us get creamed. We could call it the
Paul Mulik Trained Noticer Award. Comes complete with a certificate and a
new pea for your whistle.

in an earlier episode, Goober was introduced as
Goober Beasley. Did he later become Pyle from
a late life adoption by Gomer's Dad's brother?

On the episode I posted about previously, Aunt Bee the Crusader, I thought
I saw
Emmett's wife in that crowd of crusading women who were trying to help that poor
(moonshine-making) farmer. I hadn't seen her on TAGS before, except on the
color
episodes that Emmett is on. She wasn't called by name, but I think that was
her. She
may have just been an extra at that time.

Well, it's finally ready for release. I've added a link to the new Searchable
database to the front of the TAGSRWC web site. Y'all drop by there and visit
it!!

If you want to know how many episodes Allan Melvin was in, just search for
Allan and it'll tell you exactly which episodes. I know I will be using this
feature a LOT myself. I hope you all like it.

Folks,

Just a quick note asking our AOL users NOT to download AOL 6.0. If you do,
you will not be able to send email to our mailing list. AOL 6.0 only sends
email in the HTML format and there is no option to turn that feature off.

Until I can get some type of fix in place to help us, PLEASE do not upgrade
to AOL 6.0. If you do upgrade, realize that your post to the Digest will not
make it through.

Thanks and I'll let you know if I come up with some type of fix for this
problem.

Did anyone make a Barn-O-Lantern? I tackled the project and am happy to say
it turned out okay. You could tell it was a person, I could tell it was
Barney! I changed it a bit though, I only took off the orange skin instead
of carving all the way through. It was a little easier this way.

Thanks to Paul Mulik for the wondaful designs!
