Anyway, what should I come across but an article about Joey Fann and his Mayberry Bible Study series! It was a short article, but it was nothing but complimentary, and it included the URL to the web site which contains lesson plans for the Bible studies (http://www.barneyfife.com). >> Hey To All, Haven't posted in awhile as I have been busy helping Santa get ready but thought I would dash in to say, I saw this article Tuesday myself! It was heartwarming to read the article and to know how TAGS can still teach a person a lesson in life while relating to someone in today's times! I don't know if Joey subscribes to The Digest, but I would like to say it must have been wonderful to be recognized by "People" with this wonderful article and picture! It's wonderful that more churches are using the TAGS episodes and the Mayberry Bible Study...I would imagine this would be a crowd getting class! I am not of the denominations that have used it thus far but think it would be a wonderful class to attend! Hats off to you Joey! Let's see anyone have a Thanksgiving pickle request? Barney mentions that Clara's sister lives in Saberton. In fact, Saberton is a "suburb" of Morgantown, WV, which you all know is Don Knotts' home town. My question to Mr. Bullock is, did you write that little factoid into the script, or was there some altering done after the script was delivered? Of course, there could be more than one Saberton, so it could just be coincidental. That was great! Remember the episode where Thelma Lou's cousin came that could outshoot Andy with a shotgun? She was from Siloam Springs Arkansas. I haven't posted in along time because of being too busy, but I have returned to Mayberry so I can slow down. Anyway it is could to be able to post to all my TAGS friends. I have had my DH record several soundtracks of movies onto the computer for me, and then put then on CD's. You can even do it from cassettes. If anyone wants to know how, I will have him write out instructions for me, and send them along. I've been away from the board for some time, so I apologize for this late response. I think we should all agree with our beloved Barney: "As for me, I'm voting for Andy. As am I. He created and crafted the finest piece of TV comedy ever offered. We will be in his debt for all times, as will our children and their children and ... well, you understand. Of course, he had political views. Respect the man and appreciate his art. But respect his opinion as a man - don't follow it as our sheriff. Besides, how I vote, brother, is my own business. Don't Gore me or try to amBush me. That would be the Nader of this experience. I was over at the CNN.com website taking a gander at the news and thought I would share what I found. They have a pretty sizeable article on this movie if you got to their website and then scroll down to the "Entertainment" section and click on the noted article. I believe this is one remake/book conversion that I will make sure I put on my viewing agenda. It's a very positive article about Ron's endeavor and the movie.
