<< The plot was suspiciously like the one where Aunt Bee goes on a
trip leaving the boys to batch it. Toward the end, Andy realizes that Aunt
Bee will be hurt when she realizes that they can get by without her. Andy
and Opie then go through the house messing it up just before Aunt Bee comes
home. Gomer does the same thing with the barracks. >>

I noticed this very thing about an episode that was on TV Land just Thursday
night. Gomer dates a very attractive woman, and she asks Gomer if he ever
wishes this could go on forever. He says yes and she interprets it as a
marriage proposal. Didn't this same thing happen to Barney in the first or
second season? Wasn't this the one where the woman (and Andy) end up calling
Barney a "squirt"?

"A squirt? Who you calling a squirt?"

<While he's waiting Otis says, "Shubum, Shubum,Shubum". Andy
asks what that means and Otis replies, "That's how my mouth
feels."

Andy also says those three words when he's signing the contract for Opie to
marry Andelina (with the disappearing ink).

Hey TAGS fans. I've got a question. TAGS is the greatest show of all time.
But, since we all agree, then we must all have similar views and perspectives
on life. So, tell me what your 2nd favorite show of all time is? It'll be
interesting to see what we like after we leave Mayberry.

Hey folks,

Remember....this really isn't the place for this. We need to keep the
discussion at least somewhat on TAGS. If you'd like to talk about this, head
over to the TAGSRWC web site and to the Bulletin Board (Miss Crump's).

That's a better place for this type discussion. Thank you for understanding.

Did any of you ever notice in the episode about the woman speeder, the law
was that if a female prisoner was in jail she was required to have a female
watching over her? Aunt Bee was the woman who did the watching over of the
female speeder but in the episode, "Prisoner of Love", no mention was ever
made of this law. Could it be that Ange and Barn didn't want any female
warden hanging around because they wanted the BEAUTIFUL female prisoner to
themselves???
Seems to me there were two sets of laws: one for the po-lice and one for the
ordinary citizen. The way I see it, the female speeder was much more ORDINARY
than the female prisoner. So, Ange just applied the "ordinary citizen law" to
her and the "one for the po-lice" to the other!!
Just an observation....Crystal M. in AL
