Exact-illi-oso Frank. That's the Actor of the Man, as Andy Taylor himself
would say. Sometimes he talked Northern, sometimes just reg'ler, too.
Have you seen "A Face In The Crowd"? It is another great movie, one of my
favorites and you would not believe how great of a performance Andy
Griffith puts in on that one. He's no Sheriff Taylor in this one either.
I bought a copy of the movie on Ebay for about $8 (yep, that's 8 Silver
American Cartwheels) and watch it all the time.

Hey You All!!
Im really missing seeing Barney. TV LAND has only been showing the color
episodes. Well...they are ok but I really prefer the black and whites. Much
more exciting with Barney. He and Andy are the best. I really hope black
and whites will return soon....until then its color for me...

As a musician, fan and collector, my FAVORITE color episode is the one where
Opie joins a rock band. I saw it the other night. What is the name of the
band? I can't remember. You see it briefly on the bass drum while they're
playing at the bday party. Also, whose party are they playin for?

I like Dinner at Eight, but also Goober Makes History, and The Return of
Barney Fife, the episode where Barney finds out that Thelma Lou is married,
but the greatest part of that class reunion is when Barney sees Thelma Lou
for the first time in years, talk about a cozy moment!

Subject: Pray For the Wildcats
The movie where Andy was a meanie is Pray For the Wildcats. Andy played the
owner (or something like that) of a company who made his staff take a
motocross trip to keep in shape (I think). In a town Andy gets soused, tries
to pick up a much younger girl, and ends up killing her when she rejects his
advances. The rest is even cloudier because it's been years since I have
seen this but I think he tries to kill his staff when they want to turn him
in.

My favorite color episode (at least today, since I watched it this afternoon)
is "The Cannon". I love Andy's line, just after Warren accidently shot the
cannon--"Oh no.... he shot a station wagon".

One more thing we have in common, Crystal M. in Alabama! There is nothing
like a good roll of thunder to at a little ambience to a "cozy" moment.

Good job landing a chef, Romeena! I'll bet if you'd married Ernest T., he'd
have never cooked anything better than a postum what he found under a rock.
;)
I know it's a long shot, but I have to ask. A few months back, I posted a
response that was about Mayberry life, and how I would give up color and
live my life in black & white if I could spend my time on the porch with
Barney and Andy, peeling apples & such. I kept the piece, thinking I might
do more with it, but as luck would have it, my computer crashed and I lost
it. I have checked in the WBMUTBB archives, but they don't go back that
far. If anyone has a copy of it, would you please contact me? Thanks.

EXACT-ilioso what I've been thankin' about in the last few weeks. While
it's true the loss of Barney makes the color episodes very different from
the original black-and-whites, I've found myself enjoying them just as much,
just in a different way. And I too appreciate Howard much more. I agree
that Barney's absence allowed the other characters, especially Howard and
Goober, space to shine. While I do look forward to the cycle beginning
again with the first season, I'm glad I've had the chance to make the
acquaintance of the color episodes, too.

Paul, Hey wait a minute. Do you have a shop in Mt. Pilot? You seem to
know a lot about refridgeration. Any mousetraps or golf balls in there?
