I'm with Paul on this one; I pulled out my copy of Mayberry Goes
Hollywood and turned my head as Mr. Harmon was saying goodbye to Floyd.
I'm pretty sure he called him Mr. Feldman too although I've never noticed
this before and wouldn't have if it hadn't been brought up. What
delightful inconsistencies and mysteries there are in our hometown!!

Hello everyone!

I noticed a scene last night on a local broadcast of Andy here in Nashville
that made me think of an unusual question. How many "out of place" or just
"odd" scenes can you think of.

Let me give you an example, in the "Those Gossipen Men" epidode when Barney
answers the phone and he has his hurt finger sticking out, he answers like he
just woke up from a nap. I know this sounds strange but if your watching
that episode that one little part seems out of place.

Another one was brought to my attention by my brother Mike who pointed out
that at the end of the "Rafe Hollister Sings" episode, Rafe, Andy and Opie
are singing and they turn to the camera, singing directley to the audience.
This scene obviousley feels somewhat strange.

Can anyone else think of an out of place scene, or a scene where a character
seems out of character? Just wondering.

Since Floyd's last name was Colby during the episode, it would seem very
odd (but not impossible) that they would have left a mistake such as
this in the final cut. It would have been very easy to do another take.
But Paul is right that it doesn't matter what the script said because
sometimes the actors went slightly off script, or last minute changes
were made.

Now, I know this person must have been warned; I wonder if he's the kind
that rides his bicycle on the sidewalk. Sounds like SOMEBODY might need a
little trip to the woodshed...

Hey fellas...
listen, I seem to be having a problem. When I get the WBMUTBB news letter, I
never see any of my post. Yet, they ARE appearing on others, because my bro
said he saw mine on there.
Is anyone else having trouble finding their OWN post on the emails ?
Thanks! lots of luck to you and yours

Yo,
Ya'll been talkin bout "The Sermon for the Day"
episode and I got to say this is one of my all time
favorites as well. When Dr.Breen says "WHATS YOUR
HURRY?" toward the end of the sermon the expressions
on the faces of Andy Barney and Gomer are priceless.
Then when there outside and Barneys famous quote
"Thats one subject you just can't preach enough
about...Sin. Boy oh boy What a hoot...I love it!I love
it! I could go on and on. See ya later!

Two instances come to mind: In "Ellie for Council," after getting mad over
the news article about the city council candidates, Ellie calms down and
says, "I guess I was just trying to defend my sex." Later in the same
episode, women are carrying signs reading "A Fair Deal for the Fair Sex."

In one of the final episodes, Sam Jones attempts to explain human
relationships to Mike, beginning with the concept of the two sexes. Mike
already knows this part, because "they taught us that in Hygiene."

While I was watching episode #14 (The Horse Trader) the other night, I
noticed something I have never noticed before, as Andy and Barn were
standing next to the old cannon discussing what to do with it, I think I
actually saw their breath as they were talking, as it obviously was very
cold during the taping. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

Hey Folks, today my brother picked me up and we drove out the 101 to
Coldwater Canyon blvd. Turning right just off Mulhalland Drive we drove for
a spell and came to the resivoire where
the opening of "The Andy Griffith Show" was shot. Forty years has shrunk
the area a bit, but in our minds eye we saw
Andy and Opie walking down the path to the lake, throwing a stone into
the water and the beginning of a real piece of Americana was born. What a
thrill.

It sounds like a good idea, the White Elephant sale. And it's for a worthy

Did you see the episode tonight where Andy sold Barney the rare buffalo
nickel? He was trying to teach Barney about finances, but then he turns the
town against the record publisher. ANYWAY, when the record publisher comes
back with the contract and the check, Ellie takes him to see Andy. They
both run out of the drug store and THEY DON'T LOCK THE DOOR!!! Those really
were the good old days, wern't they? And you know, I grew up in a town
where we never locked the doors either. Isn't that outstanding?

:)
