I totally agree with you. How COME he was able to take the cell apart?
Mmm...maybe he just felt really nervous while doing the keys because he knew
barney and andy both were real close by. course otis was standing right there
with his face againts the wall. to me that would make him just as nervous. I
dont know...guess thats one of the many mysterys of mayberry.
lots of luck to you and yours!

Anita:

The correct spelling is "STILL".

Defined as: An apparatus for distilling liquids, such as alcohols,
consisting of a vessel in which the substance is vaporized by heat and a
cooling device in which the vapor is condensed.

I have a trivia question: Who was once called a firebug and in what
episode?
Meanwhile, I'm excited cuz I believe my favorite episode "Only a Rose" is
on my local station tonight and I'm gonna' paste my Fair ribbons in my
scrapbook while it's on. I only got two blue ones this year (peanut
butter cookies and pralines) but that's okay; makes me try harder for
next year!!

What was Otis's wife's name? Someone ask me and for the life of me I can't
think of it. I remember her in different episodes. But just can't get it.
Here I was thinking I was smarter than a tree full of owls!

IT is still, because it is short for the word distill, because of the process
used to make liquor: distillation.

Hi Y'all!!

A few folks mentionin' Ernest T. in recent posts set me to thinkin' (must be
this bucket
on my head)...

Now, ol' Ernest T. couldn't read nor write, could he? 'cept a few words,
sidewise...
("no hunting, no fishing, open and close... open and close? "barber shop"!)
Then, how could he write notes on "them rocks" he threw thru the windows?
"Didja ever think about that?" Hm... i think we just need to go upstairs and
study on
that thang.

>>>hey to all, i have a question. in the episode where barney gets locked in
the bank vault, what song is he singing as he pretends to mop the floor?

I've never been able to find it in any songbook, but I think it's an Irish
folk song entitled "Dear Old Donnegal."

Dear all:

I guess I will put my two cents worth in too. I recall a very touching
moment in the PICKLE show where Clara is talking about her blue ribbons and
how they probably wouldn't seem like much to some but to her they were very
important. It is what guilt's Andy into getting rid of the "sure to win,
store bought" pickles. I've always thought that scene helped us to see
another side of Clara.

Subject: a solution to overalls vs bluejeans question

The answer to Aunt Bee's "slip-of-the-tongue" use
of the word overalls instead of bluejeans might be
rather simple: back then the words could be
interchanged........

......Just like "icebox" & "refrigerator", and "pop",
"soda" (sodee water), or "coke", even "Levis" &
"bluejeans", "hooch" & "shine", "constable" &
"sheriff"......
