Hi Y'all!

Don't y'all just LOVE it that Peggy has on those white gloves with her nurse
uniform in the episode that was on TVLand on Thursday night?

"Andy! What happened to your eeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyeeeeee?!"

Boy, Peggy sure has our Southern accent on that-un!

Hey Ya'll,
I don't mean to sound negative or anything...but is
it just me or does TV-Land show a lot of
Emergency,Gunsmoke,Adam 12,etc. marathons? Anyway I
guess it just seems that way. I'm ready for more
Andy!In my opinion TVLand ought to show TAGS marathons
at least once a month.

time to time. Does anyone know what color they were? >>

In the color episodes, the police jackets Andy and Barney wore were the color
maroon.

Paul;

What I always found unusual about the Mayberry cars was
that North Carolina cars had California license plates!

I don't remember him in any other episodes but he was a played a judge in
either in the John Wayne movie, True Grit or Rooster Cogburn. I believe it
was True Grit, final answer.

According to Mayberry Memories by Beck & Clark, a guy named
Bob McQuain appeared as various characters in about a dozen
episodes during the first three seasons, mostly in the
second season. Mr. McQuain is deceased, but his widow
reports in the book that he was usually disguised, played
police officers, got a parking ticket from Barney, etc. Of
course, these are not the main plot type characters played
by Allan Melvin, who played eight characters in six
different seasons (again, according to Beck & Clark in
Mayberry Memories - an excellent book that I am only about
half-way through).

Subject: Jim Clark on QVC this Tuesday!!!

Hey folks,

I just got word from Jim Clark, Presiding Goober of TAGSRWC and author of
several Mayberry books, that he's gonna be on QVC this Tuesday selling one of
the Mayberry cookbooks (8 a.m. CT, or shortly after, I'm told). He tells me
that he's not gonna undercut Weaver's Dept. Store (which he runs). Y'all mark
it on your calendar!!!!

It's gonna be BIG. Y'all set those VCR's!!! It'll be great seeing Jim on
the TV!!
