Kevin & Dawn Roberts write that Mr. Tucker's car used a left hand key to
start the car back in the 60's most Ford & Lincolin cars had left hand
ignitions as my parents had a 1963 Lincoln with the left hand key starter.
I'm sure I hear a knocking noise in the engine, Mr Tucker.

There are various explanations, but the most prominent seems to be that they
just used one camera...and this allowed them to film the scene of him

If you watch carefully that fourth bedroom comes and goes several times
depending on the needs of the situation. My theory is; it is a Hide-a-room
that folds into a back porch similar to those couches that fold out into a
bed.

appear every day could be answered by looking on there. What would be ideal

No, Ford apparently put the ignitions back on the right side in the 1970s, as
that's where they were located on my mother's station wagon. That's also
where they are on my Contour and my Explorer, on the right side of the
steering wheel. I do remember it being on the left on my grandfather's Ford
Galaxie back in the 1960s..

I have never before seen the scene in "Rafe Hollister Sings" where Andy told

He was in the episode where they wanted a singer for a town doing and he
beat out Barnie for the spot but they didn't like his clothes so Andy
got him a suit to wear. He really had a beautiful voice and I wonder if
he did any albums or other work where he capitalized on his talent. But
por Barnie, even Opie sang better than him.

To Steve Mitchell and his very observant wife:
You guys are brilliant! Every time this question is mentioned, the same women
are discussed as being someone's favorite for Andy. I haven't, until now,
heard anyone say Charlene Darling. But what a great idea! And in the scene
you were talking about where she sings that song, it still gives me goose
bumps the way Andy looks up at her and says, "Well, that's about the
prettiest thing I ever heard." They could probably have made it on their
mutual love of music alone. Yeah, other girls sang with Andy or listened to
him play and sing but nobody else had the born-and-bred love of music that
Charlene had. She and Andy would surely have made beautiful music together.

Subject: TAGS Memories
Hey everybody .. hope y'all are surviving March Madness ...
I really like remembering watching the episodes for the first time. TAGS was
on CBS, I think, on Monday nights. Monday was my Mom's bowling night, so it
was always us kids and Dad having supper and then watching TAGS, waiting for
Mom to get home from the bowing alley.
Supper on Monday was usually whatever was leftover from Sunday dinner (I
think Mom planned it that way) because she had to be at the bowling alley at
6 PM. Dad would let us eat in the living room sometimes, as long as we
didn't spill food or milk on the carpet. We had to have everything cleaned
up and dishes done by the time Mom got home, usually around 9 PM.
It was funny in later years, when I used to talk with Dad about TAGS, he
remembered lots of the episodes .. but Mom never knew what we were talking
and laughing about, because she never got to see the show!
Thanks for bringing back the memories!

Hi - I'm a retired public school teacher who worked with kids with behavior
problem. I was medically retired in September. Since I am only in my early
50's I find retirement is for the birds. I have three grown kids and six
grandkids. Actually, I have four grandkids right now, but both my daughter
and my daughter-in-law will deliver in May and June which will give me six. I
love to read, work on genealogy, and I am beginning to take an oil painting
class. I also crochet, do crafts, and love the dickens out of my
grandchildren. I love my computer and because of my illness, that computer
has become a close friend.

WOW! i'm so glad to find a mayberry fan club..my husband think's i'm nut's,
he wonders how i can watch show's over and over i already know by heart.i
guess you have to be a true fan to understand.
i have every show on tape at least 5 times just incase there ever comes a day
they decide to take it off the air (which i know will never happen)
ok now a little about me...i'm 39 yrs old been married for 21 yrs and we have
a 19 yr old son who by the way watches andy too :)
we live in a small town alot like mayberry, one grocery store, one bank, no
stop lights, everybody know's everybody, and pretty much everybody know's if
there's a andy marathon on ya wont be seeing me for the weekend. lol
we have one 30lb cat who think's he's human and i let him think that, he's my
baby.
my husband and i both work in a glass factory.
my goal for this summer is to viset andy's hometown.
