Hey ya'll,
In "The big house" episode. When Barney and Andy go
out the back door to check on Gomer who's on the roof.
There is something that appears to be a coin that
falls and hits the side of the court house walls and
then the sidewalk. Did anyone else notice this? If so
what could it be?...

I started watching TAGS as a child with my grandmother, who always reminded
me a bit of Aunt Bee. It came to be one of my favorite shows, and now I do
not feel my day has been complete unless I've been able to sit down, wander
back in time a little bit to those days with Grandma on the couch emersed in
a world that was always just a little better than what was outside my front
door. Now, I am happy to say, my own daughter, who incidentally was born the

I am a Right-of-Way Agent with the New York State Department of
Transportation. I grew up in a small town in upstate New York in the late
50s and graduated from highschool in the early 60s. I have always had a
great appreciation for the values depicted by TAGS and only wish today's
programming had some redeeming social value... there's so much trash out
there today (everything is sex, violence, and being as outrageous as
possible). I wish that I had the opportunity to teach the young people of
today, in a Sunday School class setting, the fundamental values ie. family,
love, respect, etc. that seem lost to a bygone era. I am a Christian and a
fundamental Baptist who doesn't mind being branded as a right-wing
conservative fundamentalist. I don't mean to sound self righteous, but the
world might be a whole lot better off with more of us and those who hold TAGS
up as an example of what Christian virtues are all about. I'm sorry that I
have only a handful of TAGS on tape. My!
wife and I enjoy the ones that we have so very, very much, and we've watched
them so many times that they're nearly worn out. I just stumbled onto this
website just a short time ago and want so much to become a part of the
wonderful experience that you folks seem to enjoy. I just eat TAGS stuff

About 3 1/2 years ago, my husband and I were lucky enough to see Andy and his
wife Cindy at a restaurant in Nags Head, NC, right across the Sound from his
home in Manteo. I wanted very much to speak to him, but also wanted to
respect his privacy. Instead, we told our waitress of our esteem for him,
and after he left, she presented us with the (empty) bottle of wine that he
and Cindy had enjoyed at dinner! That wine bottle now stands in a very
special place in our home.
