Hey everybody. I was just wondering, in the episode with the Morrison
sisters, did they put them in jail? I remember Ben and Rubb having to stay
in jail until they liked Andy's singing, but I don't recall if they put the
sisters in jail. Anybody have any info, just send it along. Talk with you
all later, Horatio(Kevin)

Mayberry Days tickets update from Surry Arts Council - Colonel Tim's Talent
Time and Doug Dillard's 7pm concert are about to sell out, so I thought I
would let WBMUTBB folks know so we don't miss out.

Right now, there are only 4 individual seats, plus 17 back row chairs left
for Col. Tim and 8 seats (some together), plus 17 back row chairs left for
Doug's evening concert. Tickets for all other events are still available.

To order, you can call SAC at (336)786-7998 or 800-286-6193. While you're
on the phone, you can get other event tickets as well. Details are on the
Mayberry Days page of their website at www.surryarts.org. There are other
events going on during those times if you can't make Col Tim's or Doug
Dillard, so all is not lost if they sell out. They are also taking names
for a waiting list.

I'll take this opportunity to mention the WBMUTBB Silent Auction. It is a
fund raising event during Mayberry Days that features the artistic and
creative talents of so many WMBUTBB members who are so generous to share
hand crafted items or memorabilia for a good cause. All money raised from
this event goes to support the many programs of Surry Arts Council and has
elevated our TAGSRWC Chapter to their highest level of contributors. I'll
have more details in the coming months.

Paul, are you talking about Eva Kryger appearing in that furniture polish
commercial Aunt Bee tried to do for Mr. Foster? I believe she was a
member of the TAGS crew in the same capacity. Aunt Bee of Orlando
>>>

You are correct in that some of the TV crew seen in that episode were
actually real-life TAGS crew members, but that wasn't the answer I was
thinking of.

Congratulations to everyone who realized that Jack Smith played himself on
TAGS. The younger folks (me included) won't remember it, but he was the
host of a game show called "You Asked For It."

Jack Smith also played himself in a Happy Days episode. Remember the time
Fonzie tried to jump his motorcycle over 14 trash cans? Jack played the
host of the TV show "You Wanted to See It," which was a play on words, based
on the name of his real program.

OK, here comes the last part. This one should be pretty tough, because you
won't be able to get the answer from the list or any of the books.

Part IV: Name a TAGS actor (male or female) who has the same first and last
names as a person who lives in Mayberry. He or she did not play himself /
herself.

Note, I said ACTOR, not crew member. Therefore, Earle Hagen and Frank Myers
do not count.

Hello Doll,,,,,
Some key points (or "bullets") for your speech. NOTE: All points are
made lovingly.

a. classical comedy routines -- prime example is Barney trying to recite the
Constitution. Also the use of triplets.

2.Its reality based TV in its own right. IMHO I'll take TAGS over Survivor
any day. And I do. After all, they had to contend with Jimmy the loaded
goat,Ernest T. Bass, & Otis Campbell. You have an the potential of the town
going kablooey, a sociopath with a uniform fetish who has threatened
kidnapping, and reoccuring issues surrounding illegal alcohol consumption.
Throw in Charlene and all the Darlings for your dysfunctional family
issues. Prime example is that Charlene was married to Dud Wash but had the
hots for Andy. Briscoe had it bad for Aunt Bee. Father and daughter both
going after emotionally unavailable people.

c. Its just good clean fun -- a rarity on TV these days, and with more bud
nipping than any other program .

Hope you get an "A".

About Leon:

I would like to say that Little Leon appeared in three episodes, "The Bank
Job," "One-Punch Opie," and "The Shoplifters."

About "No Time for Sergeants":

First of all, congratulations on the part you are playing, Liberty!
Secondly, I am glad to know that your letter was allowed to be posted. If I
lived closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat, however, I live in Atlanta...but I
do wish you guys luck in the performance!

Sincerely,
Carol

Hey Jr....
What a GREAT idea for a paper. I'd love to read it when you are through.
Maybe I could use some of your ideas for getting folks to watch. I have a
friend who lives in Georgia and I have been hounding him to watch the show so
he will understand me better. See, I always use lines from the show when
talking to him and he just doesn't get it.
Best of luck on your assignment. Surely you will get an A just for the
subject matter alone.

Subject: help with a model car

Gang...I think this has come up before so I *know* someone out there can help
me with this...

I just bought an AMT 1:25 scale model kit of a 1964 Ford Galaxie. I was
thrilled to find out there's a '63 as well, and supposedly if you look hard
enough you can find a '61 too. Obviously I want to turn it into a Mayberry
Squad Car. Question: does anyone know where I can get the Mayberry sheriff's
insignias (decals or otherwise) for the doors? They need to be small enough
to fit onto a 1:25 scale model car. (Still haven't figured how I can do it
with the trim but I'm going to try.) I think I know where I can get the
police light, spotlight, radio, etc., but if anyone knows those too please
let me know...Thanks in advance!

BTW I obviously was not the first person to think of this idea. The AMT
folks enclosed three sets of license plates decals, and one set is from North
Carolina. (No, it's not ol' JL-327.)

Well, was everybody beaming while watching that HBO baseball movie last
night? I was so proud when they showed Maris and Mantle watching our
beloved TAGS and even whistling the theme song! I suspect Billy Crystal
might be a Mayberrian too. As a baseball fan and an admirer of Mr.
Crystal for many years, I was tickled with his latest project, except for
the nasty language and smoking. I hope everyone gets to see this film as
it is very inspirational despite those drawbacks. Enjoy!!!
