Chapter and yet we have never had our own "bulletin board?" Strange ain't it....I guess I just wasn't thinking. I was talking to one of our members the other day and this idea hit me that our Chapter could use a place to gather online and just sit around and talk to one another so I figured I'd create us that kind of place. "The WBMTUBB Chapter Golden Door to Good Fellowship"....that's the name I came up with. The only way to get there is to go through the "Members Only" link on the WBMUTBB web site. The URL the password you'll need to get into the "Members Only" area are below. http://mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/ Password: harvey The Golden Door is a place for members of the WBMUTBB Chapter to gather together and get to know one another. The talk there doesn't have to be about Mayberry. Feel free to talk about family, hobbies, friends and just about anything that crosses your mind. Things need to stay Mayberry-like in attitude and any posts that are "off color" or just plain ole "mean spirited" will be removed but I don't expect there will be any of that. I believe this will give folks a good place to talk about some of those things they aren't allowed to talk about here on the WBMUTBB Digest. I hope everybody enjoys this meeting place and that it will help our members get to know one another on a more personal basis. On the episode where Aunt Bee loses Aunt Martha's pin, she plans to buy a garbage disposal with the insurance money. And yes, that was after the show where she won the appliances. Seems to me it's a contradiction. Let me say, I think our "elderly" folks can teach us a lot! Good going mom!! The very first episode where Aunt Bee comes to live with Andy is the only episode the truck is shown. We are never told if it's Andy's truck or just one he borrowed. We never see it again as far as I know but it kinda looks like Emmetts Truck later on. Only Emmetts truck had a much better paint job. I was tickled to remember that she played in "Rosemary's Baby". I remember seeing that movie and immediately laughing seeing the proper, pickle-master Miss Clara/Bertha Edwards/Johnson chanting "Hail Satan" repeatedly around the bed of Rosemary's baby. What would Aunt Bee have thought? "Those Gossipin'" Mayberry women would have had a field day "cuttin' her up" with gossip! Maybe that gossipin' is what turned her into a devil worshiper!....wait a minute, it's only a movie, it's only a movie.....It was a weird movie, but Ruth Gordon, John Cassavetes, and Mia Farrow gave memorable roles, but none as memorable as Miss Edwards/Johnson. He played a Robert Tainer, Capital R T for short, lol. He acted just like Gomer Pyle with the catch phrases and everything. I also got a glimpse of the husband and wife who were with him. They were played by the actors who played Mr. Masters the chours director in such epoisdes as "Barney in Choir," and the one were Gomer sings insted of Barney, jush to name a few. His wife was play by the actor who played Sgt. Carter's Sister and Gomer's date to the marine dance in the nexr to last episode of Gomer Pyle USMC. Just wanted to let everyone know. And be sure to catch Don Knotts on the Love Boat on Wedsday playing a shoe salesman. In the pickle episode, she spoke so lovingly about her dead husband. Yet, in the color episode where the church needs a new organ ... the owner of the organ calls Clara "Mrs.", she QUICKLY corrects him and says,"Miss Edwards". >>> She was married to Mr. Johnson before we knew her (as stated above, we learn in "The Pickle Story" that he is deceased) but obviously she went back to using her maiden name of Edwards later. It does seem odd that a widow would ask to be addressed as "Miss," but I suppose that's a matter of personal preference. BTW, Clara is called Bertha in the first season. Maybe that's her middle name. - --Paul ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 15:46:32 EDT From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Jim Nabors Birthday Hi Everyone, just wanted to wish Jim Nabors a very happy 69th birthday on June, 12 2001 and same to former president George H.W.
