Costs about $100,000 annually to house one prisoner as I've heard. Boy - you have to get more than doilies in the cells for that amount. Otis said "I'm a prisoner and expect to be treated like one". I'd say, he was way ahead of his time myself. I am able to watch it every evening now!! I was watching the episode last night where Thelma Lou's cousin Karen Moore (the skeet shooting champion) came to Mayberry. I absolutely cracked up when Barney and Thelma Lou were discussing how to get Karen and Andy together. They decided on a blind date, but Barney was unsure how to approach Andy with this proposal. It seems an early try at romance for another young lady and Andy was unsuccessful because Andy said she looked like Benjamin Franklin. In fact he even referred to her as Benjy! I can barely remember ever seeing this one and did not remember this statement by Andy about Benjy! Folks think I am crazy being so involved in a show after it being off the air all this time, but this right here shows them I can still get a new jolly out of TAGS. You all know what I will be watching every night!! ......the cage sure does seem empty don't it Pa?....yes, son....but don't the tree's seem full........... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? We didn't have a Spare Ribs Tavern, but we did have a place that served beer in the late '40s and early '50s. Believe it or not, it was the Blue Bird Cafe, which got transformed into the Blue Bird Diner for the TV Series. Most of us younger folks weren't allowed to go into the Blue Bird for that reason. This morning while watching an episode of Burns & Allen, Floyd shows up as a plumber. George comes out and tells Gracie that the plumber is in the kitchen. When she arrives in the kitchen there is lovable Floyd only he is Jensen of Jensen's Plumbing. Later in the show he arrives in a tuxedo ready to go to a large social function that Gracie wrangled an invitation to for him. Floyd is funny as ever in this episode. Wishing everyone a safe and really enjoyable 4th of July. We were led to believe that Aunt Bee drove herself to Andy's in the truck and Andy was just walking her to the truck to say goodbye. Andy and Opie were home when Aunt Bee arrived so she must have come by herself. This is just my theory. What's your theory? "She's gotta stay. She's helpless. Well, he certainly got drunk lots of times since then, and I never saw him going back to The Rock! Anybody else ever wonder about that? Hey Folks, I was just wondering if anybody had heard any word on Columbia House possibly releasing TAGS on DVD? I know they have just started releasing 'I Love Lucy' similar to their video club, except on DVD. It seems a shame that Columbia House has released all of I Love Lucy on video and now is doing so on DVD, but won't commit to releasing even the B&W episodes of TAGS on either one. Chad Palmer P.S. Visit my website http://members.trivergent.net/~palmer/andyondvd/ for information on the UNOFFICIAL TAGS DVDs available. If anybody is aware of any I don't have listed on that site please let me know as well. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2001 20:20:56 -0400 From: "Tony & Susan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: my two cents worth Howdy beloved, here's my contributon to the list of verses We all have a friend we call Andy He keeps peace in a town that's a dandy!
