According to IMDB,

Harvey Lembeck
How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965) .... Eric Von Zipper

Did Harvey Lembeck apparently play Flora?

Please elaborate. I love his performance in "Stalag 17"

Anybody in the mood for some fan-fiction?

Let's have Lucille Ball on the show. Not that big of a stretch, considering
where it was filmed.(DESILU).

Let's have Ricky and Lucy driving to Florida through Mayberry. Should their
car break down, or should Ricky be ticketed for speeding? How about a
littering fine for Lucy? Wait, I know! I have got it!

LOL...I saw that scene and leaned over to my date, saying I couldn't think of
that song without thinking of that classic TAGS episode. What an unexpected
surprise!

Please take this line of conversation OFF the WBMUTBB Digest. I can't seem to
find a Mayberry connection with any of this. Thank you.

I have recently remember two bloopers
the first one was the one where the escape convict tried to use Andy boat
to
escape. -of course the boat sunk in the lake, and you see him swimming
toward
shore (so you know that he got wet), yet in the next shot (the epilog he
is shown in the state police car- wearing DRY CLOTHES..

now in another episode (the one where Opie finds that $50.00
he says he was walking home from school (on the dirt road, yet in
different
episode we see Opie walking to school IN TOWN (not on the dirt road)

Did anyone notice how many TAGS members were on TVLand this weekend? I
saw many of them including Frances Bavier playing a Mrs. Ferguson. She
lived in a trailer by the oceanside. There were also scenes in front of
Andy's house and two shot in Beaver's second house. How srrange to see
the interiors with different furniture!

I wonder if he's related to those other Bushes? Probably not. Anyway, Owen
Bush appears in three color episodes as follows:

Mr. Jason, who repairs Andy's suitcase in "Off to Hollywood"

Mr. Hammond, who prints the tickets in "Goober's Contest"

Doyle Perkins, owner of the store where Andy buys Opie a new suit in "Opie's
First Love"

>>>Subject: Re: Jack Prince (Rafe/Ben)
From the Internet Movie Database. (www.imdb.com) That's all I could find on
him....

He had one more appearance on TAGS not mentioned in your list from the imdb,
that of the unnamed rummage sale customer in "Andy Forecloses." Maybe he's
supposed to be Rafe; maybe he's someone else. One of these days, I'll go
through that whole database and suggest some corrections. One that bugs me
is that according to them, Don Knotts is the voice of the principal Mr. Bone
on "Doug," which is not true.

My turn to ask a question: Has anybody ever figured out what that thing is
that Jack Prince's character buys from Andy in that episode? Here's how the
scene goes:

Customer: How much is this?
Andy: Oh, about three dollars.
Customer: Whad'ya suppose it is?
Andy: If I knew that, it'd cost ya five.
Customer: Sounds like a bargain.
Andy: Yeah, one of these is nice to have.
Customer: I always wanted one!

As an editor for an airline inflight magazine, I am deluged with travel books
that come across my desk. However, this morning, one caught my eye. It is
titled "The 50 Best Small Southern Towns: Charming, Livable Places Affording
a Gentler Way of Life," by Gerald W. Sweitzer and Kathy M. Fields (Peachtree
Publishers). Mount Airy made the top 50, however, the very first paragraph
about the town contained an error that I thought you guys would find
interesting: "Mount Airy is one of the best-known and friendliest small towns
in America. Still filled with the charm and character of Mayberry, Mount Airy
is the hometown of actor Andy Griffith and was the shooting location of his
long-running television series."

Hey everyone , I was watching the episode " Andy and the new Mayor " tonight
and wondering how the town mayor can tell the county sheriff what to do
,sheriffs normally answer to the county managers or county commision ,unless
it was different in the 60s. " If I need to shoot at someone ill
get a gun and shoot at them ,Ill give Barney some bullets and let him shoot
at them "

Hey Folks,

I wanted to let all the WBMUTBB Chapter members know about something special.
You can see a photo of it by going to:

  http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/

Below is a note from WBMUTBB member, Mike Creech, who is helping Kit McNear
out with this special project.
 --------
I visited with Kit McNear (son of Howard McNear) at his home back in April
and he allowed me to view some of the memorabilia that he has from his
fathers career.

One of the most amazing items that he showed me was the original "Mayberry
Gazette" from the "Convicts At Large" episode. After talking for a while, I
mentioned that it was something that every Mayberry fan would enjoy having
and that's when we came up with the idea to have it copied and sell them to
raise money for Kit's favorite charity, "The Foundation for the Junior
Blind."

These will be sold for $10 + $3.50 for Priority shipping. All of the $10
will go back to Kit McNear for the charity and the $3.50 is the exact amount
of the cost of the postage. I am not making any money on these, I'm only too
happy to help out the blind children and to also be able to have this great
replica from our favorite television show.
                                            We appreciate your help,
                                                    Mike Creech

  ------

If you would like to have one of these prints (they are on 17x11 card stock
paper) and help out this fine charity, just contact Mike directly by emailing
him.
