I just purchased my tickets for "Love Letters" on Feb 9th and made my
reservation at the Mayberry Motor Inn. I am very excited about spending a
quiet weekend in Mt Airy. I also hope to make it my home someday.

I was watching the episode where barney is running for sheriff and says he
has 76 (?) cases of malfesions (sp?).
I think in today's world, Barney would have won that arguement. Even if
they were ridiculous examples of breaking
the law. Do you think Andy could be sheriff in today's society being as
"lax" as he is?

hello Tags friends: this is in regards to Jason Harrod, Don't worry about the
blank stares from your friends, or the rolling of the eyes from your family,
thats ok, its just because you know more then they do about what is good and
what is not!! My son and myself get the same thing from our family and
friends, and it makes us happy, they are just jealous, because we know a good
thing and they know nothing. But we are forever fans of the Andy Griffith
reruns and we LOVE the trevia game,(which no one wants to play with us also).
But don't let um get next to ya Jay, we are here with ya friend, we won't let
ya down. "Well I'll see ya" "And Take That Gun Outa Your Mouth" Mary From

Hey Everybody,

It has been a long time since I have been through Mt. Airy. When I was a
kid I lived in Florida and we used to go to West Virginia every summer to
see my grandparents. So we went through Mt. Airy every year. I can
remember the Mayberry Shopping Center right on Hwy 52. Also the reason I
liked Mt. Airy so much is because being a flatlander from Florida you
could see the big mountains in Virginia when you were just leaving Mt.
Airy. I used to get excited when we got to Mt. Airy because I was always
amazed at the big mountains I would see very soon when we got to
Virginia. BTW, West Virginia is mentioned on TAGS quite often also in
addition to the other states mentioned on this list.

Don't wear my hat Ange!

TV Land's Gomer Pyle (one of Wednesday's episodes I believe) starred
Gomer, of course, and Jackie Joseph. Jackie Joseph (once Ken Berry's
wife) was the wife of one of Gomer's barrack buddies - and his name
happened to be Ken. Ronnie Schell was Duke on this episode - didn't
someone mention that he was also on TAGS? I also saw Parley Baer (Mayor
Stoner) on an episode of Hunter the very same day.

Just want to say thank you to Paul for the neat pumpkin patterns. I carved
Barney and it worked out great. I had lots of nice comments about it. The
main thing folks kept saying is "where's Andy, Opie and Aunt Bee?" I was to
busy to get Opie carved in time. So next year maybe Andy and Aunt Bee would
be good ones to do also. Everyone wanted to know where to get the pattern.
You might could make yourself a pretty penny off of these Paul.

Thanks again,
_Andrea

Hello fellow Mayberrians,
Could anyone please give me the guitar chords to
"There Is a Time"? Thats just about the pertiest song I believe Charlene
Darling Walsh ever sang.

Howdy do to you and you,
Columbia house has recently said that if there
was a big enough demand for all the Andy Griffith show episodes then they
would provide them.Maybe if we sent them some e-mails then maybe they would
see how many of us Andy fans are out here. Also I recently talked to TV-LAND
about airing Andy un-cut.They said it is up to the public demand. They also
said that there are parts of scenes that are lost forever. However, there is a
channel out of Nashville that airs all but the last scene that TV-LAND airs.If
you wish you can go to www.tvland.com then go to" write to us" at the very
bottom of the page and ask them about showing un-cut Andy.TV-LAND is doing a
great service by airing the show I just would at least like to see an un-cut
weekend like they did for the I love lucy show.Anyway, I am pleased with what
columbia house and TV-Land is doing but can you ever really get enough of the
Andy Griffith Show?

     Thanks mayberry friends,

I recently sent a message about my Andy Video Collection,& I made a mistake by
saying I had taped all most all 241 episodes. As several Andy fans have informed
me by Email they are 249 episodes not 241.I have been using a episode guide I
got from the internet that list the 241st episode on the last
page"MayberryRFD".The episode numbers are listed out of sequence.I made a
mistake Andy fans please forgive me!Andy lover M.L.J.

I hope everyone can attend the "Love Letters" dinner theatre performance Feb.
9 at Cross Creek Country Club in Mt Airy. As Jeff said, it's a wonderful
opportunity to see two TAGS stars together in different roles and see them "in
the flesh". This is truly a rare event and CC Country Club is a beautiful
location for this play. Just ordered my tickets yesterday and great seats are
available. The Surry Arts Council does a magnificent job providing these very
special events and I look forward to seeing everyone there for a great
Valentine's celebration.

needed in these days of sorrow and destruction. Thanks for the

Hello Citizens of Mayberry

A couple observations. We normally thing of the Haunted House episode as
the "Halloween" episode of all the Griffth shows...though no Halloween
reference is made. There is another show that mentions "trick or treat
outfits" Do you remember which one that one is?

Voice patterns...I have noticed that our president, George W Bush, has a
voice pattern similar to a TAGS star. Listen to him when he says the words
"Country" and "Children" Who does he sound like? This may be tough to
guess, because it might just be me...so I'll tell ya. To me he sounds like
James Best...Jim Lindsey. Does anybody know if ole James is from the same
part of the Country?
(no political comments please)

I've found the regional references, states mentioned on TAGS very
interesting. I wonder if we could put together a list of all the states
mentioned. Some of you already noted Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina
of course.
California--Hollywood trip
Florida--Alligator farm
Virginia--Natural Bridge
Pennsylvania and Ohio (Otis giving directions to still)
Michigan (Dee-troit)
Illinois (Chicargo)
Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Old Man Kelsey' s Woods, Old Man Kelsey's
Crick, Ole Man Kelsey's Ocean
I'm sure there are more..what did I miss? I don't think my Indiana home is
ever mentioned. I can't even remember if nearby South Carolina, or Don
Knott's home state of West Virginia is ever cited?
