Hi everyone! I was searching through my Print Shop Deluxe 12 artwork last
night for a Christmas graphic, and what did I come across but a little black
and white clip art entitled "Christmas in Jail?" It shows an open cell door
with a small Christmas tree in the cell.
I have to believe someone working for Broderbund is a TAGS fan -- why else
would such a thing exist? I mean, how many users would want that graphic?
(I didn't find any pictures of the Ubocker brothers, however.)

Merry Christmas, Barney parney poo!

Did you watch TAGS, on TVLand yesterday? The one when Goober can't raise his
arms "no higher than this?" In one shot, he had a tire gauge and 1 pen, in
his left shirt pocket. The next shot, he had a couple of tire gauges, and a
couple of pens! By the way, his shirt has 2 pockets. And don't forget, the
grease rag, hangs
from his Right rear pants pocket! Jus' tryin to hep!

Subject: Color vs. B/W

as i'm sure you all know, TV Land in currently showing
the color episodes of TAGS. i don't know about y'all,
but i don't like the color episodes very much.
anyone have any idea when they will get back to
showing the black & white shows?

it's just not the same without barney...

best,
pjb/

Watch out PBJ. The powers that be here don't like
that kind of talk. Believe me, I know. Yes, these
times are tough (TVLands seemingly unending airing of
"colorized" TAGS). But thou shalt prevail. During
this period of episodes 160-249 (colorized), I read
the digest, watch my own collection of videos from
1-159, and get back to nature, family, work, etc.
What is strange is that last summer they ran the
"episodes of color", but when it was time for the
b&w's to begin, they skipped so many episodes, but
when they run 160-249, they seem to run every single
one! The one bright spot of 160-249 to me was Jack
Burns as Warren, but they yanked him quickly. I
believe there is a discussion board on the web, where
one can discuss our contempt and despair of showing
the colorized versions, legitimately, without the
wrath of the board's moderator. I forgot the address.
Remember, You have been warned, and your posts now
have been flagged for review. Rabble-Rouser!

Actually this has one of the funniest "Gomer Pyle USMC" endings ever. Just
as Gomer pulls away in the bus, a station wagon pulls up and parks right at
the bus stop...and Andy, Goober, Aunt Bee and Opie all get out. Gomer
frantically yells, waves and beats on the bus window but the four are
stretching from their trip and otherwise unaware of Gomer.

Dan is 100% right. I'll send out a copy of "the Rules" later tonight but the
board that Dan's talking about is The WBMUTBB Chapter: Golden Door to Good
Fellowship (GDTGF) located at:

  http://www.tagsrwc.com/wbmutbb/goldendoor/

Only members of WBMUTBB can post at this location. It is a place to talk about
pretty much anything you'd like. You see, here on the Digest we have 2 rules
and rule number 2 is to keep things positive. That gets to some folks so I made
the GDTGF for folks to sound off.

Drop by and leave a note. You can also use it to chat with your friends here in
the WBMUTBB Chapter or leave comments and suggestions about the Digest or the
TAGSRWC/Mayberry.com website.

You can find one at Weavers.(www.mayberry.com
is how I get there.) I saw it just the other
day and thought about getting one for my
husband. He had "Northern" friends that use to
call him Goober because he was from the south.

Once you get Cary Grant down, don't forget to
work on Edgar G. Robinson "All right you guys.
Come on you guys. Let's go you guys. Beat it you
guys!" You've got to get the facial expressions
    just right.

As to video tapes. I saw a very nice collection in Sam's
Club yesterday. A boxed set of about 5 or 6 tapes with 2-3
episodes per tape.

Columbia House is NOT known for the lowest prices in town -
matter of fact their prices are pretty ridiculous most of
the time - except for OLD movies.

I'd look at Amazon.com or Sam's club for tapes.

Tape pricing at Amazon.com:

Andy Griffith Show 4-Pk

List Price: $15.00
Our Price: $13.50
You Save: $1.50 (10%)

I doubt Columbia House would've been much cheaper!

There is a larger set for $35 too. I did not look to see
what was on it. But they've got all kinds of tapes from $6
up to $35.
