i was born in tulsa ok 7/17/55. we moved to wichita kan in 1957 then moved to
poteau okla in 1961. i graduated in 1973 and started working for the local
telephone company. i worked there 23 years and now i am a work at home wife.
my husband john and i were married on feb 14,1991. he has 2 wonderful sons
and we have 2 beautiful granddaughters, cassie and cammie. 3 days after
cassie was borned i accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
i have watched tags since it aired. but i was watching 24 hours of andy on
wtbs and they would show the first aired date. the first andy came on the day
after my sister died while we were living in wichita. i thought that was kind
of sad that my favorite tv show came on the day after my sweet sister and
best friend left us to be with Jesus.
i prefer the black and white andys. it seems like the color ones are not
nearly as funny as the b/w ones. i saw an intervies with alot of the cast,
again on wtbs, and they opposed making the show color.

My name is Franklin and I reside in a Mayberry-like town called Rhinebeck.
Rhinebeck is located in the beautiful Hudson valley region of New York. There
are only a handful of things that make up who I am and what is important to
me. First, my realtionship
mi with my Heavenly Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Secondly, my wife
Hui-Theng. Thirdly, those beautiful memories that make us feel so good when
we reflect. Fourthly, my town. (Rhinebeck has all the fixings; The Beekman
Arms--the oldest i in America (where i work the hotel desk on weekends), the
Rhinebeck Dept. Store, the Rhinebeck Hardware Store, A.J.Stickles five and
dime, Schemmy's Ice Cream Parlour, Rhinebeck Tobacco Shop & Newstand, and of
course, the Rhinebeck Post office, Rhinebeck Savings Bank, town hall, and a
church on almost every street. Fifthly, The Andy Griffith Show. My favorite
episode is #77; "Man in a Hurry." You can probably see why I love this show
so much. I am 37 years old, my wife and I live in a !
cottage--10 minutes outside of town, on Silver Lake. We are both Christians
and I have been known to do some preachin'. My wife is a musician, called to
music ministry. We'd love to begin a chapter in this area with an emphasis on
the Christian messages
contained in the episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, and I'd love to be a
part of this on-line chapter as well. Thank you and God Bless.

Many of Don Knotts' films from the '60s had TAGS alumni in them. One even
had a *future* TAGS regular...Paul Hartman (Emmett) appeared in "The

I've noticed that some of you are wanting badges . I have an official

but I do know that they are in existance for those of you who enjoy the

There are also a few times in the older b/w outdoor scenes when you will
notice a sudden change in light reflector positions. I can't list specific
episodes right now. If you look carefully, you'll see a shift of light
concentration from one area of the camera's view or frame to another for the
purpose of highlighting a character's face, action, etc. It's as if someone
had just moved a spotlight's focus while the cameras were running.

Does anyone know how Francis Bavier signed autographs. Someone at my workplace
mentioned seeing her at the Hyatt Hotel on 11/9/1975 in Winston-Salem. She
signed an autograph as "Best Wishes from Aunt Bea" "Andy Griffith Show". Is
that how she signed? She didn't use her name?

I wonder if anyone else noticed the shadow in the episode where Barney
gives the governor a parking ticket. After Otis spikes the spring water
and Barney gets gassed, Andy takes Barney to Andy's house to sober him up
before the governor arrives to congratulate him. When Andy is helping
Barney up onto the porch from the side where the driveway is, the shadow
of the cameraman can be seen. It quickly moves out of the scene, but for
a second or so it is clearly visible. Mary Grace Gossage"The governor is

Hey TAGS friends:
I was watching an old Charles Bronson movie last night "9-Midnight" or
something like that and noticed one of the very first scenes was filmed at
the same location where Andy and Opie are walking with fishing poles at the
start of each show.It is supposed to be Meyers Lake, but from what I
understand its somewhere in S. Calif. Happy New Year to you and yours.
