Marsha, Marsha, Marsha - (Love that Brady Bunch episode)

I absolutely had a great time laughing and reading all those one liners you
sent to the list. I could remember every situation as I read them. Thanks
and do that again real soon!
"But you hit her mother."

"I'll make him a deputy." -- "A DEPUTY?!?"

Just wonderful!!!

All,

I do the daily crossword puzzle and noted, in Wednesday's, I think, the clue
"Mayberry Tippler" for a four-letter answer which, of course, was Otis.

"No, but I will--I will."

Funny you should ask...Andy, George Lindsey, Ron Howard and Jim Nabors were
all interviewed last weekend for Entertainment Tonight, their hour-long
"Where are they now" thing they do on weekends. Andy discussed his bypass
surgery and said he almost died from it, but is okay now, and Nabors
discussed his liver transplant. They also debated whether Frances Bavier was
all that difficult to work with (Lindsey said "She needed her space" but
otherwise wasn't so bad), and Howard discussed the fights he got into at
school over his Opie role (the kids would say "There's dopey Opie!"). I
just happened to catch it on tape, having set my VCR because they were also
featuring a segment with Peter Marshall about the original "Hollywood
Squares."

In Paul's summary, he mentioned that we had identified Mississippi, but
couldn't recall the reference. I'm not sure if this is the one we mentioned
before...but in the color class reunion episode (that Barney returns for)
Helen steps out on the porch to announce to Barney and Andy that "We just
got a telegram all the way from Jacksonville..Thelma Lou is coming"

Now for Oregon, we've got Portland that was mentioned earlier as the home of
the Pickle recipient who was headed to Portland. For Ohio..I believe Otis,
in his directions to Barney of where the still is; passes through Ohio. I'm
stuck on Oklahoma...C'mon someone help up so it doesn't join DE, IA, MT, NH,
ND, and NM on our "not found" list.

Subject: TVLand Tapes

Out of habit, I've been recording the B&W episodes on TVLand, and have
decided that at this time I don't want more duplicates of episodes I already
have. (And I have multiple copies of ALL the B&W's.) So, to those who
don't get TVLand and have a sparse collection (or non-existent collection)
of the B&W episodes, you may have the ones I'm recording. I'd ask for the
price of my blank tape and mailing expense to send it to you. I won't be
messin' up the bulletin board by repeating this offer. People looking for
particular episodes need not email me, as I haven't cataloged the episodes
as I've recorded them.....I don't know which episodes are on which tapes.
This offer is extended to those who can't get TAGS and don't have a library
of the B&W episodes. At this point in time, I'd send one tape per person,
but if the response is low, I'd allow someone to receive more than one, if
they wanted more. Please reply to my email address....not the Digest.
