I was wondering if it was ever mentioned what the "T"
was in Ernest T. Bass?
I might me mean but I make up for it by being healthy.

Did anyone mention Chattanooga? Barney tried to arrest a guy and he said he was
from
Chattanooga.

"Return to Mayberry" is not available anywhere on VHS unless that has
changed recently. However, it is shown on TV every once in a while. The
last time I know of was in December on WGN. I have a PVR with my
satellite system and I saved it on the PVR until I had a chance to copy
it to tape. It's too bad that it never occurred to me to save it for
those who missed it. Unfortunately, I have already copied it to tape and
deleted it from my PVR. I would offer to copy it from the tape, but I
only have one VCR. Since it is not available anywhere, I cannot bring
myself to let my only copy out of my possession for any length of time.
Maybe someone else who is on the Digest mailing list has a copy. If not,
watch the Digest. I'll bet one of our trained noticers will know when it
is on TV next time and hopefully they will post that information to the
Digest.--------------------------------------------------------------------!

On the New Mayor episode featuring Parley Baer as the new mayor, when he
visits the jail, Anj and Barn are keeping an eye on a baby in Cell #1 (The One
on the Left) and the Mayor don't like it or Anj releasing Jess before his
sentence is complete.
I was in Florida , the week before Christmas at Disney and
decided to walk through the Planet Hollywood eating joint
and its full of Movie memorabilia, and I walked up the stairs instead of
taking the elevator and if you was to walk down the stairs, at the bottom of
the stairs you look up and there is a Picture of Don Knotts as Barney and one
of the original shirts
he wore right up there on the wall. That made me respect the place then. I
may even eat there next time.

My favorite lines just about all come from Barney:
"If there's anything I can't stand it's having people say I'm sensitive!"
"Well, it's not a whim anymore if you put on clean underwear!"
"Man gets his best suit spotted and pressed, spends two hours polishing his
hat, and for what? Heartaches!"
"A slender, high-spirited person needs a sugar pick-me-up late in the day!"
"Like they always say...the quality of mercy is not strained, it droppeth
like a gentle dew from Heaven...well, you're not talking to a jerk you know!"
"Boy, giraffes are selfish! Always running around, getting hit by lightning,
looking out for number one..."
"Don't look back, Mrs. Lesch!"
"Let's go, Maude...you're starting to get to me!"
(after introducing Andy to the Fun Girls) "How do you like yours?"
"Now let's get THAT vehicle OUTTA here!"
