I've been saying "I bet you have more girls flocking around you than
chickens around a june-bug" for years
I always get a good laugh with that one. When I was a youngin we used to tie
a piece of thread to a june-bug and fly him around!!

If you really stop to think about it, it is NOT silly because, as all of us
laypersons already know - one thing leads to another. It's like opening a
can of worms or like Barney's wisdom ( "give 'em 35 - they'll do 40. Give
'em 40, they'll do 45"). Every seemingly innocent moment is just a step
toward the next course of events and it usually ends up being something
either immoral or distasteful. Same thing with the bathrooms. Show the
bathroom on Leave It To Beaver and 40 years later - we have the honor of
seeing everybody USING them on TV and the movies. Hollywood is like kids -
they do something to see if they can get away with it and, when they do, the
next thing you know it's Viva Las Vegas.

That always seemed like a lot to me too, but if you think about it
from a comedy standpoint, there's something about saying "a dollar
and a quarter" in it's quaint way, that is a lot funnier than
saying "thirty cents" or even saying "a dollar twenty five".
I think it was purely a comedy choice.

I am not sure of the episode but didn't Andy introduce Floyd and Goober to
someone and he Introduced Goober as Goober Beasley.

Isn't Andy out hunting when Goober's girl from the diner comes looking for
him, during the color years? And don't forget that campout when Barney and
Gomer go looking for wild fowl.

Wasn't Charlene Darling divorced at one point?

There was another episode later on when Wally and Beaver are stuck
baby-sitting a little girl, and she goes to use the bathroom but she locks
herself in, and they have to figure out how to get her out. I believe you
see the whole bathroom and all of the toilet.

Has anyone ever noticed how natural Opie acts in the Christmas story? It's as
if he is just being himself. When Aunt Bee & Opie enter the courthouse with
the turkey, Opie goes over to a chair & immediately starts pulling his hat and
gloves off. When he seems to be having trouble he uses his teeth to get them
off. Then he goes over and starts picking pieces off the turkey. It just
looked so natural to me . Almost like it wasn't a written script. But then he
was such a great little actor, who knows? I have also always loved the scene
where Barney stands up in front of the Christmas tree.
I do seem to remember Andy hunting in the episode when Flora faked a twisted
ankle and Andy had to carry her back.
I also took a picture of the Andy Griffith bronze bust when I went to MGM. It
seemed like a great honor.

Between the "Bathroom" and "Same Bed" talk....we're really begining to drift.
Lets try to keep "Mayberry" type stuff the focus here, please.

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
As far as I can recollect the only couples to ever
divorce on TAGS were of course, Charlene and Dud.
Like it was mentioned tho, that didn't last very long,
after Dud promised not to look at Idell Bushy anymore
during preachin'. The other couple never seen, but
who divorced; were the couple Barney told Andy about
while they were sitting in the courthouse or maybe it
was the squad car. Wasn't their name "Harry and
Lorraine Felcher" or something like that? Barney said
she had a drinking problem, tho Andy at first thought
it was the husband who drank??? Anybody else remember
their names? I'm not real sure about the husband's
name.
....oh flibbertigibbet.........

Hey everyone,
I thought I remember that door to the left of the cells being used in the
Danny Thomas spin off episode? Is that right?
