Maybe there were some girls from the high school band, standing just off
screen where we couldn't see them. We know the high school has very good
musicians; we hear them in "The Senior Play."

Regarding who was locked up in the jail more than Otis.I believe Barney would
have to be second. He locked himself in several times. Leon locked him in
once, the prisoners who were criticizing him for not having a shakedown locked
him in twice I think and that beautiful female prisoner locked him in.I may
be forgettin some others but I bet he would give Aunt Bea a run for second
place.

It has been a constant debate with TAGS fans over the years about BW episodes
&Color ones.I have to agree that the BW ones are the best.I have a fondess for
anything Mayberry myself.Recently someone attacked the color episodes & the
late 80's reunion movie on the digest.Anyone can have a opinion but as I have
said before the color episodes are still a slice of homespun americana. It is
still Mayberry! We have to remember that the series went on for 6 years after
the black & white ones were over!3 years as TAGS & 3 more as Mayberry RFD.I
think the absence of Don Knotts also hurt the series, but it still had good
characters with Goober & Howard etc.To this day I imagine I live in Mayberry
where everything is settled in 30 minutes with homespun humor!but the reality
is that we live in uncertain scary times. That is why to me if we can just sit
down for 30 minutes & enjoy TAGS wether it be the BW ones or the color ones we
are taking ourselves away from the horrors of today!

Hey everybody. Didn't Andy pick up an alarm clock and set it off when he
was trying to wake up Barney early one morning in the back room of the
courthouse. I think the only thing that worked was snapping his fingers.
Well, thats all for today. Talk with you all later, Horatio(Kevin)

OK, it's my turn....
Whether you liked Return to Mayberry or not, Andy Griffith couldn't have said
it better at Barn and Thel's wedding....You half to admit that this says it
all....

Hey Ya'll
What about the time the new deputy (Bob Rodgers)
arrested Barney for peddling vacuum cleaners? I
believe it was an infraction of the Green river
ordinance.

"We have something special here. It's something you don't find often on the

Mayberry is a wonderful place and I'm just glad to be a part of this little

Well said Allan! This along with Miss Crump's Blackboard and Goober's Golden
Door to Good Fellowship are often what helps me make it through the work day.
Enjoyed talking with you at "Love Letters" in Mt Airy a few weekends ago and
really glad you were there!

"Pickups and splashes from floor and pool" is/was the name of Barney's
controversial sports column in the Mayberry Union High newspaper. Correct me
if I'm wrong, but didn't it only last one issue ?
