Paul Lynde as a deputy ? That just might have been hilarious. Paul
Lynde by himself is 10 times funnier than all the new Hollywood Squares
people put together. Of course so was George Gobel, et al.
I'm not sure if Paul Lynde would have ever crossed my mind, but now that
he's been brought up, I guess I'd have to vote for him. I don't know if the
chemistry between him and Andy would have worked or not but it would have
definitely been worth a try. He sure is a funny duck.

I don't want to brag but I am waiting for an autographed script from No
Time for Sergeants that my mother in law personally had signed by Andy
Griffith and Don Knotts after seeing a performance on broadway. Needless to
say Christmas has come early. Oh yeah there will never be a "leg of lamb "
for my mother in law.

Greetings,
Last night on TAGS Jack played the part of Ed Jenkins insurance man I was
curious was this a trial to promote him into a regular character as Howard
Sprage? Also Barney was in rare form when visiting and the crook he put away
escapes and of course Andy comes to the rescue and makes Barney out to be the
hero sure do like it when his eyes are bulgeing and shaking nervous not
realizing what had happened and just agrees with Andy. Recently caught an
episode of Maverick and our own beloved Mayor Pike was playing a whisky
drinking and card playing HUUUUUUUUM!
Now Goober put that fuel pump back on.
But the fittings are worn out Barney.

Hey Paul, cool item. I'm looking at my matched set(#877) on the shelf
at my office and like ole Eagle Eye Annie they still give me great
pleasure.
I was just wondering, do you still have your chair from the 35th
reunion? I know that you reluctantly put it up for auction a couple of
years back but I dont remember if it was sold.
Maybe some of the newer folks don't know about that chair. How about
telling us about it again. I don't remember if you ever said (or know)
which person actually sat in your chair or not.
Thanks

Hey Everybody,
This may not be new to some on TAGSRWC, but I saw a scene on TAGS
yesterday that I have never seen before. Wow what a tongue twister LOL!
It is the episode where Andy first meets Helen and she gives him what for
about making her teaching job difficult for her. Andy gets Opie and gang
to start the Mayberry Minutemen, a history club after he tells a very
interesting story of how our country got started. Anyway, at the end of
the story Andy volunteers to walk Helen home and talk about the
Emancipation Proclamation and it shows them walking out the door and that
is the last I have ever seen of that episode. I just happened to find
another station that shows TAGS in my area and it showed the extended
version when Andy is with Helen in front of her house and he is telling
her how good it was to talk to her and then Barney drives up in the squad
car and tries to get them to start talking about the Emancipation
Proclamation again and then Andy says something an! d the episode ends.
Anyway, I thought it was really neat because I have never seen that part
before and at least as a TAGS fan I caught on to that right away and got
to spend more time in Mayberry even if it was a couple of extra minutes.
Sorry this is so long.
I am surprised at you Andy!

I would like to see more of TAGS but unfortunately our cable company doesn't
carry TV Land, only Nick. Any solutions on how we can change programming of
big cable company's?

Does anyone know how many Columbia House TAGS Videos are out now?
Did they ever make any more Volumes past the #10 volume.
Also does anyone have a list of the episodes that are on each volume.
I have a list but it only goes up to volume 6.
Thanks

Ahhh! I wish I could trade places with the people who have access to the
color episodes, but don't watch them. I don't get any TAGS on T.V. where I
live. I have a collection of B&W episodes on tape, which I got from someone
awhile ago. The only color episodes I've seen are a few on some of the
Columbia House tapes... so when I read in the digest about Hollywood, Aunt
Bee flying, and Opie getting a job... I'm just dying to see them! You don't
know how lucky you are to have all that access to TAGS!
Enough whining... I'm very thankful for this digest, and all the people who
write. I've learned so much and just can't wait to read it each day.

Howdy friends!
I had a compelshen to write. I was flipping through a couple of channels the
other day (I ferget which one it was) and the Lucy show was on. It was the
later (color) show in which Vivian Vance co-starred with her. I didn't see
the whole show, but they were carrying a statue up some stairs and Lucy being
Lucy, it was a disaster. The only reason I stopped on the channel was the
statue caught my eye and it shore-'nuff did look a whole lots like ole Seth
Taylor hisself...makes ya thaink!
Did anyone happen to watch a show on Lifetime tonight called "A promise for
Carolyn" with Delta Burke? There were several scenes in front of the
courthouse
and the statue in front looked like old Seth Taylor too! Could it be???
