Was it the episode where Andy is going on and on about Opie's unwillingness
to give more than $.02 to the Children's Fund, and Aunt Bea calls him on it?

Just a reminder, two weeks ago I ran a message on WBMUTBB about the copies of
the original Mayberry Gazette prop and I had over 50 people that wanted me to
hold a Mayberry Gazette for them, but I've only received payment for 5.
These are being sold for charity and it would be great if I could sell all of
them (I have 78 left) and get the money to Kit McNear. Thanks!

************Original memo******************

From: "GRITTON, JOE A

When Barney decides to make a play for Ellie (to fight fire with fire since
Andy has called on Thelma Lou). He calls Floyd and is very demanding
("Whoever is in the chair, get rid of them") about the fact that he wants to
have "the works". Among things he mentions that he wants such a witch
hazel, it sounds like he says "toilet water". Is that what he says, and if
so, is that a slang term for cologne or After-shave? If it's true, that
could be an interesting bit of trivia...the only time "toilet" is mentioned
on the show???

Good trivia Joe!

Question: Was a bathroom ever mentioned at the jail? The Mayor's Office is
upstairs, and I am sure he had a bathroom.

What did 'Barney's obey all rules crooks' do for a bathroom?

Those bits were classic character writing, and I think they forever
revolutionized the way TV shows are written, even up to now. Even "Friends"
opens with similar bits that set the mood...

I can think of 6...
Sherriff's hat, fishing hat, crazy hat opie brings him
for the inspection, barney's helmet, the hat at the
lodge (i think?) and a baseball hat for umpiring the
baseball game.

I communicated with someone named Chad about buying some "Andy" tapes,
"Barney" tapes, "Earnest T. Bass" tapes and some others. I have misplaced
your address on where to send for them. Please, Chad, if you're out there and
you see this message, please email your address to me again. I'm already to
go with no place to send it. I "talked" to you Sunday evening.

Thanks

Anita,

What a bummer that you can't use all of your tickets.
I already had a direct reply to my request for the
Mayberry In The Midwest show website, and the person
that replied also had a couple of tickets they can't
use. Good luck on being able to sell yours.

The only other one I can think of is his Bandmasters hat which he wore
on several occasions.

Have a Mayberry day always.

Does anybody here know how I can get my cell phone to play The Andy Griffith
Theme when it rings? I've found several web sites where one can download
various TV themes for cell phones, but only one of them had The Andy
Griffith Theme, and it had wrong notes in it.

Just out of curiosity, are there any former cast members who
subscribe to the digest?

Undoubtedly, they would get a huge bang out of reading our daily
submissions.

CLASSIC The Lucy Show episode! I love that one. Combines my two favorite
