Hey Allan,
While I have nevr tried the other links, I can tell you that the text is small
and blurry for me at Weavers, and I use Netscape. I can ready stuff at
Mayberry.com and Miss Crumps just fine, but I cannot read the text at Weavers.
I will send you a picture of what my screen looks like to your email address so
you can see for yourself how hard
it is to read on my screen.

Times are slowly moving on. I can remember growing up in Mississippi my
grandmother had an 8 party line and it was almost impossible to get a chance
when nobody else was on the line at times and guessing who was listening when
you were on.
My home town was a very Mayberry town. They still have an old horse tithering
post in the middle of town that is called "the stratching post". It was in
front of an old cafe called "The Coffee Pot" but I guess Aunt Bee took
ownership of it because it is now a Chinese restaurant.

Hey all ! I gotta say that over the years I have endured comments
about Andy & Barn and all things Mayberry. too. I can only say ,as
someone else stated: Some folks .have sure missed some great comedy
and slice of life stories. I work in a huge Urban Trauma/ ER center
(night shift) and boy would I like to see some good old Andy and
Barn common sense in some of the situations I deal with. Anyhoo, I
think the Mayberry Force is a great place.!!
Also I think that a convo and between Barn & Festus would be
just amazing. The Hagens and the "Fices" ( todays ep they
misspelled Barns name again) Geez the size difference between
Matt and Barn , Whoa
I recall that Ernest T in eps. said he wanted to knock out a
tooth and put a gold one in the middle. How he did this I do
not know.
Later tater, Mayberry P.D is the best !!

Flora...
I hope you are able to see the menu at weavers, because they have an
incredible selection of "Mayberry Items." I have ordered quite a bit in the
past few months and everything arrives promptly & in excellent condition. The
staff couldn't be nicer & they let you know if something is out of stock &
when you can expect it. I wish all my shopping experiences were like this!
Now if theys giraffes...
Aunt Bee & Opie show "Hockeytown" how the
game is played...Go Canes!!!

Hi GANG...
Counting the days til Mayberry in the Midwest!!
Been a member of this board for many years and thought of a subject I don't
think has come up as a bit of trivia. Many times they talk about the movie
theatre in Mayberry and often will tell what movie is playing. How many
movie titles can you name? Seems like a lot of time its "the monster that
ate something, LOL" One that comes to mind is when Barney is trying to
convince the banker that his bank is a pushover and everyone thinks he is
doing an impression of Glen Ford because the night before he saw "G-Man".
How many can you name?

Yes, it's Christmas in June in Richfield, Wisconsin: My second question was
answered by Paul and Kirk. Thank you both!*
Now, if the person who wanted a copy of that episode would re-contact me at
my personal email address, I'll try to work something out with you.
(I've been dealing with about 20 people for episode tapes, and I've
misplaced my notes on "who you are.")

Hold on. This was not Tom Jacobs' aka Johnny Coons only line on Tags.
While he spoke and was unintelligble in some episodes, He definitely
said, "Good luck Barney" in episode 15, Those Gossipin' Men. A great
actor!

Hello Everyone,
I have the same question as Jason. Paul, how DO you know all those
things?
You know, I never have realized before that every episode with the Darlings
had something to do with marriage or divorce. And also the ones with Ernest
T. when he was always trying to get a girl. I just never really thought about
it before. INTERESTING! I'm glad you do know all that stuff Paul. Keep
passin' it on.

>>>I have never spotted Stanley Farrar in the small crowd of people outside
the
courthouse or anywhere else in the episode and I don't see anybody who looks
like Johnny Coons. My guess is that both Man 1 and Man 2 were completely
eliminated and that the shorter version of the scene provided the opening
for
the role of "Man," which gave Danny Thomas' older brother Tom his one chance
for a line and a credit on TAGS when he said: "How did they do it, Sheriff?"
Anyway, that's my take on it. I submit this theory to the boys at the lab
for
further analysis.
jim
P.S. "What boys at what lab?"<<<<<
That's puts my mind to rest and I know it does Barney's. Thanks guys. Wait
a minute, the phone's ringin'. O Hello Barney!..What? What cutting room
floor? No Barney, I'm sure they've swept the floor by now and any remnant
of Johnny on film. Who cares whether he was the Chicago Cartoon guy or not,
he never appeared on the show. Yes I know Edgar Coleman never did either.
are you still squabbling with him about those hymn books and Thelma Lou?
Now Look Barney, you've got to let this go. Remember the case of the Punch
in the Nose and all the trouble you stirred up about that? I know Barney,
once a detective always a detective...wait a minute Barney, tell you what.
How 'bout the Schwamp case? Yep, that's the guy. A little pudgy, funny hair
piece or funny comb job, usually wears a suit. Dancin' at Mrs. Wiley's,
Seen in episodes like Otis Sues the County, Otis the Artist, Only a Rose,
Floyd's Barbershop, Barney Hosts a Summit, Sam for Town Council...also in
Mayberry RFD at Andy's Bachelor party..Who was the actor? OK, OK, Over and
out, go get 'em tiger.
Sorry about that folks, You know Barney, anyway thanks guys. On to the
next Mayberry mystery. Did you know there was another Jacobs on the
Griffith set?? Related to both Tom Jacobs and Danny Thomas?
Next time I go tiger huntin, I'll be sure and take my tweezers

I like Jim Clark's explanation of what happens at the end of Goober Takes a
Car Apart. I suggest we put the whole issue of Johnny Coons to bed and name
Jim's theory the Johnny Coons Conundrum. Sort of like one of those famous
math problems that everybody agrees cannot be definitely solved. (Those of
you familiar with Fermat's Last Theorem will recognize the concept although
it was finally solved - took over 300 years.)
