Come on now, fellow Mayberrian's. You people are not using this new fangled
electronal marvel, this here internet, enough. You can get proof of Floyd's
last episode by going to www.Mayberry.com and clicking on the Episode/Character
Database on the right. Type in "Floyd" and "Lawson," and sure enough, you'll
see that Howard McNear's last appearance was indeed Episode 219, "Goober's
Contest." Go ahead, try it...you'll like it! ! ! As I've said before, it's
one of the best research website there is about TAGS....

Here in my town in Florida, they still have write ups in the local papers for
those you throw a 300..........I guess it just depends how popular bowling is
in your town....

I have seen numerous references to this in the last two Digests... but I am
missing both Allan's response AND whatever everyone is responding TO! OK, so I
ended a sentence with a preposition, the point is, I guess I am missing a
Digest since I read them pretty much word for word!

Also, Allan, why won't my text wrap like everyone else's?

On Sunday August 4, Rodney Dillard will appear at the Hickory Crawdads game
versus the Delmarva Shorebirds. The Crawdads are the Class A South Atlantic
League affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Shorebirds are the Class A
South Atlantic League affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Pirates
deafeated the Orioles in the 1971 World Series, right after the CBS rural
slaughter and cancellation of "Mayberry R.F.D." For you North Carolinians and
others not familiar with Delmarva, it is NOT a city but a region. Delmarva is
the Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia peninsula. The Shorebirds play in
Salisbury, Maryland. Salisbury, incidentally, started one of the first
TAGSRWC chapters in Maryland with the 'Green River Ordinance' chapter.Rodney
knows about that ordinance from the 'TAGS' episode 'The Darlings are Coming.'
While still on the subject of Mayberry and SAL baseball, the Kannapolis
Intimidators are NOT looking too intimidating. Kannapolis was the site of the
1997 'Memories of Mayberry' event. It was supposed to be held at
Fieldcrest-Cannon Stadium but was rained out and moved to nearby A.L. Brown
high school.Rodney was at that event as well.

Andy Griffith cherishes his privacy. If Andy Griffith wants to see his
many fans, he has the option of making public appearances. He has chosen
not to do so. It is his right to choose to have a private life without
any intrusions from his adoring fans. He has made this choice and so it
is our duty to respect his choice and not impose upon him. It is so true
that we do not know Andy Griffith, nor does he know us. He knows that he
has many fans that enjoy the work he has done in the entertainment field
and that is enough. No matter how much a person enjoys his/her career,
everyone must draw a line between his/her career and personal life.
Where that line is drawn is different for each person. Just because Andy
has drawn that line differently from a lot of celebrities does not mean
that he is not appreciative of his fans. The best way that we can show
our admiration for him is to respect him as a private pers! on, not just
as a character he has played. And the best way that we can respect him
as a person is to honor his wishes. Mary Grace Gossage"I'm giving you
fair warning. If people know you're home, they'll be calling up asking
for things and stopping by."--Aunt Bee in "Andy's Vacation"
