Hey everybody ! I was just wondering if any of you guys are going to the Don
Knotts and Tim Conway show at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC on Oct.
26th. ? I got my tickets yesterday and from what I hear they are going fast.
Finnally I will be able to see Don Knotts in the flesh. I wouldn't miss it
for the world. I'll be wearing my WBMUTBB t-shirt and maybe I'll see some
digest members there. Well, got to go, talk with ya'll later. Horatio

Strong rumour has it here in NC that Andy may actually make an appearance in
Mt. Airy next month for Mayberry Days. Has anyone heard anything to support
that scuttlebutt?

I don't know how the schedules are in your neck of the woods but here in
my neighborhood, school started this week and it sure is quiet around
here. I loved the first day of school when I was a kid and I'm sure my
mother did (7 kids made for a lively household) but it's a lonely feeling
nowadays. How about you?

Hey Y'All,

Just read in my local newspaper Winston-Salem Journal that Andy will be the
first to go over the Manteo Bridge in his 1937 Packard. This bridge links
his town of Manteo NC to the mainland. Its five miles long out in the
Atlantic Ocean. This must be the year for Andy and dedications...he will be
in his hometown of Mt.Airy, NC on Oct 16th for dedication of a portion of a
highway with his name, Andy Grifftith Parkway, how bout that!!!!
Best to you and yours!!

I was watching Aunt Bee being courted by Professor St.
John (noted lecturer) the other night and saw a
production technique that I don't remember seeing in
any other shows....real tight shots of the actors
faces...I know this was done to show how enthralled
the professor was with Aunt Bee, but it just caught my
attention this time. This is also an episode which
really shows what an actress Frances Bavier
was...especially toward the end when she dressed up as
a party girl to scare the Professor away...classic
color TAGS!

Y'all have a good day,
Randy

Has anyone thought about when there was suspected violence in Mayberry?
Remember the time Sam Becker's wife was in labor and Andy went out to help?
Sam was all upset and Andy was trying to get him to sit down and relax, Barney
looked in the window and assumed they were struggling. There was also the
time the paroled prisoner I believe his name was Luke Comstock, brought a rifle
to Andy and Barney again peeped through the window and thought they were
struggling. I can't remember if those were the only times violence was
mentioned, can anybody help me with more?
