A couple years back, there was a restaruant mentioned on the Digest, called
the Front Porch, and they had glasses with the name of the place on it.
There were some folks here buying the glasses and passing them on to friends
on here. What I would like to know, is where is this restaurant? We
stopped at it that year to eat, but they were closed, and I don't remember
where it was. I know it was somewhere in SC, on our way to Mt. Airy for
Mayberry Days. I got one of the glasses, and love it, and would like to
purchase more, if I could figure out where the place is. LOL

Hi everyone,

Due to unforseen circumstances, I am forced to part with my soon-to-be
Mayberry squad car.
It is a 1963 Galaxie 4 door, automatic. It has been primed and is ready to
paint. The interior needs to be refurbished. It has a completely rebuilt
motor, painted to 1963 specifications and a rebuilt transmission. The
overhead light and siren are already installed and operational. I have the
necessary trim pieces and a whip antennae included.

I posted this a while back and had some interest. This is for those who might
have missed it.
And for those that were interested, I have dropped the price substantially.

It's located in Olivet, Michigan about 20 miles southwest of Lansing. Please
inquire to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Lots of luck to you and yers.

I agree with Brenda-- I wish Barney wouldn't use the expression "gassed"
either. My mom's uncle was gassed in WW I & it wasn't alcohol.
I have a question. In the Gomer Pyle episode where he comes home on
leave & nobody's in town where was Andy? Who was sheriff? Also, this may
have been already discussed, but it seems to me that in season 1 the
courthouse was different than in the rest of the seasons. Is this
correct?

Hey all,

I thought some might find this funny. I manage an equipment "cage" at
Syracuse University where film students can check out equipment and do post
production. At a school meeting I had to stand up and tell all the students
about the cage. I started by saying that "Here at the Cage we have 2 major
rules ....The firs rule is, OBEY ALL RULES, secondly, DO NOT .." anyway, I
went through the entire spill. Not one laugh at all. I suddenly felt like
Barney explaining "Baked Alaska."

Take care,
Steve Mitchell

With all this talk of accents, would someone address Madeline Grayson's
accent or manner of speaking? Although she was a scoundrel, she surely
was lovely and well-spoken.

Dear Mayberry friends:

I did not realize until I saw the email about Aunt Bee's age that we share a
birthdate!! I feel very proud that I, too, was born on December 14th (some
years later). I am not sure why I feel proud since I had absolutely nothing
to do with when I was born! Anyway, it does please me to know that I share a
birthdate with a person who played a character of whom I am very fond.
Good Sabbath everyone.

Okay...you people have me drooling here...hang on just a sec while I mop up
my keyboard...okay, back to my message...a real-life Mayberry...think about
it. That would be beyond paradise. If there were to be a show like that, I
think they'd have to make room for all of us here on the bulletin board.
I'd love to be there with all of you...eating Aunt Bee's pickles and
marmalade...sitting on the front porch...and trying our best to finally get
a look at Juanita.

May your lives be filled with Floyds and Opies and Andys...may your homes be
places of warmth and love and forgiveness, like Andy's...may your towns be
safe and friendly, like our beloved Mayberry...may your children be free to
roam around town and play and laugh and climb trees, like Opie...may your
hearts be filled with the love of our precious Messiah, Jesus Christ, as I
believe were/are the hearts of so many involved with The Andy Griffith
Show...may you know that, on this bulletin board, you have friends who love
you and care for you, and may you know that you are simply an e-mail message
away from calling on us. May our God bless your lives as you live them to
honor Him alone.

Mayberry...it's a beautiful thing...

Jenny Chapman
