I saw Jenny Boone as a librarian on Leave It To Beaver last night. Funny,
with all the noise Jenny and Fred make at home, you'd never figure her for a
quiet job in a library.

A big amen to everything you said, but even Mayberry isn't
perfect. There used to be this girl there who would bite off
the bottom of my snow cone, suck out all the juice & hand me
back just the ice!

While I don't share a birthday with a TAGS cast member I do share my Aug. 8
birthday with Donny Most (Ralph Mouth) who costared with "Opie" on Happy Days.
Does that count? He'll always be Opie to me. My friend, Randy, who works for
the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences recently sent me a color photo
which he dubbed a "Two Fisted Opie." It's Opie in his tuxedo holding both is
Oscars after this year's academy awards show. Boy, it's nice having friends in
the right places. And Randy's gesture in sending it was right out of Mayberry
where friends take time to do special things for their neighbors and friends.
I'm just sorry I can't make it to Mayberry Days this year. If anybody is
looking for a complete set of series one trading cards send me an email. I
also have some trading cards from that same series I'd be interesting in
trading. Skippy, one of Mayberry's fun girls.

About this Gomer coming home on leave and no one being there.
Was this a Gomer Pyle USMC episode or an Andy Griffith Show episode?

Greetings fellowing Mayberrians,
Today marks a day that will stay with us forever. In this day and age we
should have not had to tolerate that type of behavior from anyone. Saturday
night September 7th I was watching a Nascar race in Richmond VA. and every
fan had a special color card on there seat and at the beginning of the race
when our NATIONAL ANTHEM was being sung everyone stood and held there card up
what a joy seeing our FLAG all around the oval track. Nascar also had a
special sattalite hook up in Afganstan for OUR MEN and WOMEN fighting for our
FREEDOM. I know this may out of forum but thank you for reading.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
OUR HOME SWEET HOME.
Sincerely,
Mark H. Scripsick

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about the Front Porch restaurant.
I got exactly the info I needed, including the phone number, which I didn't
expect. I only got one more question.....you don't happen to know their
hours? hehehe
Thanks,
Emmett

Subject: Episode 205 Question
Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2002 15:32:15 -0400
Our CBS affiliate here in Chattanooga airs TAGS weekdays at 5PM and 7PM.
Last night's 7PM show was episode 205 - "Don't Miss A Good Bet" - in which
Aunt Bee, Helen, Floyd, Goober and eventually Andy each put in $100 to
finance a hunt for buried treasure on the outskirts of Mayberry. In the end
the organizer winds up being a crook and skips town with the loot.
Unfortunately, our station never shows the episode trailers, so I'm not sure
if indeed the good people of Mayberry lost their money. Anyone out there
know if the trailer includes a different ending?
After you answer, please turn Leonard Blush back on.
Chris in Chatt-town.
