?If you want children to keep their feet on the ground, put some
responsibility on their shoulders.?

This question has me "Buffalo'ed" as his middle initial changed. When Andy
found the old school book of Barn's it was "Barnard P. Fife" and on another
epidsode I think "Class Reunion" it was different.

As for Halloween.....ever notice no trick-or-treating in Mayberry? The
nearest one to Halloween I can figure is the "Old Rimshaw House". There
were no episodes of "Trick-Or-Treaters" nor was "Halloween" celebrated.

As for me and my family, we don't celebrate it either.

I know of two middle names that Barney had during the course of the show.
One was Oliver and one was Milton.

>>>I love playing the piano, and would like to know where to go to find some
sheet music from TAGS and see if the music exists. Can anyone help me??

It's available in numerous books of TV theme songs, just check with your
local music store. The correct original title is "The Andy Griffith Theme,"
however when the lyrics are included the title is usually given as "The
Fishin' Hole." The tune is by Earle Hagen and the lyrics are by Everett
Sloane (Jubal Foster from the episode "Keeper of the Flame.")

Years and years ago, the theme was published in sheet music form by Larrabee
music. However, this "single" version is VERY hard to find. A compilation
book of TV themes is your best bet.

>>> ... I believe Andy, Barney, Gomer, and possibly Opie were headed out of
the courthouse. I vaguely remember the line "What's up?", and each of them
said "He didn't say".

That's from near the end of "A Deal is a Deal." Aunt Bee phoned Andy at the
courthouse, and Andy couldn't make out what she was saying so he decided to
just hurry right home (it's only one-half block).

Andy: Come on, Barney. Somethin's got Aunt Bee awful upset.
Barney: What's up?
Andy: She didn't say.
Barney: What's up?
Andy: She didn't say!
Gomer: What's up?
Barney: She didn't say.

Isn't it odd how we can hear Aunt Bee's voice coming over the telephone, but
in practically all of the other episodes where Andy or Barney is using the
phone we never hear the other party?

Trivia time! There's one episode where we can clearly hear the voice of
the person on the other end of the phone. Came anybody identify the scene?

We had a great time visiting with friends and attending the ceremony in Mount
Airy. With all the quotes going around and the fun that folks were having we
didn't even mind standing out in the rain that morning. We've got several
pictures from our visit posted now at the <A

One of our all-time favorites is when we serve peas with pearl onions, I
ask hubby "do you like pearly onions?" and he says "they twang my buds!"
We love that episode when Briscoe misunderstands Aunt Bee's hospitality.
Meanwhile, my beloved was diagnosed with cancer this week so as Barn
would say "keep a good thought" and I'll be much obliged.
