Just something I noticed in the episode about the auto show in Raleigh. Andy
says he is thirsty and goes to the machine to get a bottle of pop. After he
points out Roy to Goober and tells Goober he is a "Big Man," they head back
to the car smiling. But what about the pop Andy bought? He left it right
there where he sat it when he was pointing out Roy to "Goober. And it was
completely full. Seems if he was thirsty, he would have remembered his drink
before the long ride home.....
Speaking of thirsty, there also was a Coors beer truck driving in the
background. For those who don't remember, Coors was not sold East of the
Mississippi River in the 60's. Maybe the driver was just REALLY lost?

With all the recent postings about the Stranger in
Town episode I just had to relate a Mayberry moment I
had not too long ago. I am a flight attendant and fly
international out of Atlanta(even though I live in
NC). I was working business class a few weeks ago and
was offering champagne to an older lady. She looked up
at me and said " sprechen die deutsch?" Of course I
started laughing but recovered and said"nein!" BTW
Allan, great Christmas card!
"Now I'll drive, so I'll sit in the front seat!"

Hey Allan!
The Christmas card is great! I was having trouble opening the Christmas card
and I just figured it out. There are two links posted on the message. My
Outlook Express program was reading the two links as one link and I got a
"This page can not be found message when I clicked on it. If you go to the
Mayberry website in E-scribe and click on the link there it will work.
Or....like Allan said...copy one of the links in the address bar it will work
too.
Have a very Mayberry day!

Hey guys,
On the Andy of Mayberry show that was on E! (for once they showed something
decent) it was mentioned that Andy had married college sweetheart, Barbara
Edwards. I believe on TAGS it was once mentioned that Andy's fifth grade
girlfriend was named Barbara Edwards. Would any of you trained noticers care to
confirm or dispute this?
Also, as this ol' world heats up and the evening news becomes more and more
distressing, I am thankful I have Mayberry to escape to, if only for a while.
Denial, that's my subject.
Carol
PS My son is in the Air Force and my daughter is joining at the end of this
month. My only children. I would appreciate the prayers of the good folks of
Mayberry during this difficult transition for my family.
You are a great bunch of neighbors!

Just thought I'd give you a "heads up" on the fact that the TAGS Black & White
season on TVLand starts Saturday at 10:00 p.m. EST with episode #2 "The
Manhunt."
At least that's what TVLand's website has scheduled. Do not throw bricks
through my window if it doesn't happen exactly that way.
