I was watching the color class reunion episode where Barney returns; I
thought
that Thelma Lou met Barney at a funeral home. Why would she be going to the
same class reunion as Barney & Andy? Wouldn't Barney have met her at school
in that case?

I remember the Twilight Zone show you spoke of; the one with Mr. Darlin in it
and the alien bikers. It was SPOOKY. I sore'nuff did feel sorry for Mr.
Darlin...loosin' his memory like that...I hope he made it back to the Robert
E. Lee Natural bridge...I KNEW ole Barn was onto somethin' that time when he
said 'bout there bein' plenty of things goin' on out in the Twilight Zone! I
r'member it plain as butter on bread.

Happy holidays everbody! Y'all be nice one to another

Hey to all of my fellow Mayberrians,

IN answer to Mary's question as to where Don Knotts was from, if I am not
mistaken, he is from Morgantown, WV and Andy Griffith is the one from Mt.
Airy, NC. I hope you all are having a Mayberry Day!

I am so glad I found this site. After a hard day's work
in this hectic, stressed-filled world we live in, I look forward
to getting home and reading the latest from all you TAGS
fans. I guess you could say in Barney's words," it's therapetic". Happy and
joyous holidays to all.

Subject: Baked Alaska

This week's Food Network e-newsletter has the following trivia question:

Question: What dessert of sponge cake, ice cream, and meringue is baked
until golden brown?

Answer: You'd be enjoying Baked Alaska, which was created in 1876 in honor
of America's newly acquired territory.

Interesting bid of trivial triviality that most TAGS fans would know!

Subject: Mr. Schwamp
Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2002 19:49:47 -0500

>>>In the book, Mayberry Memories (excellent if you don't already have it),
in
one place the name is spelled Mr. Schwamp. I'm sure it's Schwump, isn't it?

Also, in how many episodes did Mr. Schwump appear? What was his name? He was
never credited.<<<

Here ya go Mark. The Scwhamp Hall of fame. It is pronounced Chump, but it
most publications spell it Schwamp.

113 My Fair Ernest T. Bass
        123 The Fun Girls
133 The Education of Ernest T. Bass
        141 Otis Sues the County
        175 Otis the Artist
        203 Only a Rose
        210 Floyd's Barbershop
240 Barney Hosts a Summit Meeting
        247 Sam for Town Council

He was also in the Mayberry RFD episode when Andy and Helen got married.

His real name, is one of the all time enduring mysteries that has been
harder to land than catching Old Sam. Various Digest members have asked
stars such as George Lindsey, and they don't even know his name. We also
don't know if that's his real hair.

What is significant about the brag, "that's the first time I ever kissed a
doctor/"
(who said it., when?)

(tis better to be an unknown Schwamp than never to have been in Mayberry at
all--yer not talking to a jerk ya know)

Spell check did it again. It my last message, I meant to say that Mr.
Schwamp is pronounced Schwump..spell-check changed it to what I sometimes
end up being..Chump.
