Trouble check!
Don't you just love that bit. And the way Barney hangs up the phone while
he's still talking is just a classic bit. Wonder if that was in the stage
direction or if it is "just the actor of the man."

Thank you to everyone who sent me the ebullet after I lost mine. And thanks
for reminding me that it is placed in the archives on mayberry.com. I had
forgotten that.
I knew all I had to do was ask.
Also, I hope that everyone continues to watch TAGS on TV since everyone seems
to be getting the DVD version. I make a point to watch it on TVLand and also
there is another cable channel in my area that has an hour of TAGS every
weekday morning. I have it on while I'm getting ready for work. Still haven't
purchased a DVD player yet, but when I do, TAGS is first on the list.
Oh, I do have a question. How many middle names did Barney have? Was is
Milton and Oliver? And what did the P stand for? I know we've been over this
but just refresh my memory.
Thanks again and hey to you and yours,
Bee in New Concord, OH

I emailed Oprah at Oprah.com & asked her to consider having a reunion of
the surviving cast members on the show. I also steered her towards
http://Mayberry.com/ & WBMUTBB. in case she was interested in joining us
here.

For Dan Goodwin:
The site link you are looking for is:
http://www.jimnolt.com/
Here's another you may find interesting:
http://ponderosascenery.homestead.com/files/rko.html
And yet another:
http://faculty.oxy.edu/jerry/rko40.htm
This is a Batman/40Acres related site (this one is long you may have to cut
and paste the link)

&text=http%3a//www.batmania.com.ar/paginas/culver_studios.htm&lp=es_en&.intl

And if you are interested.....I had the good fortune of visiting the area
that 40 Acres use to occupy just 3 weeks ago and I must say it gave me a bit
of chill. I used the well known aerial photo of the site that was taken back
in the 60's and located some of the industrial buildings that were in that
photo. The funny thing is that the Forty Acres lot is now occupied by light
industrial/commercial building, but the surrounding area is nearly identical
to what it was then. I was able to pinpoint nearly the exact spot that the
Mayberry Courthouse sat on. What a thrill to stand in the same spot!

TAGS fans,
There's a brand new chapter to my novel "Murder in
Mayberry" at http://www.dailyread.com. All of the
previous chapters are there, too.
If you're wondering where the newest character in the
story came from (since everyone else has been someone
mentioned on the show), Sheila is based on one of the
biggest TAGS fans I've ever known personally. She
liked the show so much, seemed like she should be in
it!

I had an enjoyable afternoon yesterday surfing the internet and looking at some
of the original commercials that were included in the orginal TAGS airings.
You can go to Yahoo's home page (www.yahoo.com) and type in "Andy Griffith
Show" in the Yahoo search block. Be sure to click on the new "video" link, and
it will take you to a whole page of short TAGS videos you can watch. There's
the original opening of the first show, and the original ending of the first
show including the Sanka coffee sponsorship of the show. You can watch a Sanka
coffee commercial with Barney when Carol Channing visits the courthouse.
There's a Post Toasties commercial with Andy and Opie and Aunt Bee sitting
around the breakfast table, when Andy does a "magic trick" for Opie. You'll
also find interesting links to the short-lived "The New Andy Griffith Show" and
"Headmaster," and their opening credits. If you type in "Gomer Pyle" you can
see a funny Sanka commercial with Gomer and Carol Channing in the
barracks before they get interrupted by Sgt. Carter. The original airing of
the opening credits and whistling will show the closeup of how Opie's rock
splashed in the water and the sponsor's name came up on the screen. Interesting
Funny stuff----that's the kind of stuff we would have LOVED to have seen on the
first season DVD.
You might need to have a fast internet connection like Road Runner or DSL to
view this stuff, but it is so fascinating and interesting.
To paraprhase Gomer...."Go ahead and give 'er a try under dair"............
DANNY IN WILMINGTON
"Shoot, my mommer and daddy just shook on dair deal"
