Hi: They do make Mayberry shot glasses. At least one. I purchased one in Mt.
Airy when we went down for Mayberry Days 8 or 9 years ago.
On another topic, I've been wondering if anybody can give me the epilogue for
the Aunt Bee the Swinger episode, where she dates the retired congressman
(Charles Ruggles) who moves back to Mayberry. This episode is in color. Also,
does anybody have a link to the website where you can look up and see where
famous folks are buried. I had bookmarked it once, a long time ago, but have
since lost it. My friends are wondering where William Randolph Hearst is buried
and I want to look it up. By the way, I saw a documentary about him recently
and didn't realize he was so involved in the movie industry. Cathy a.k.a.
Skippy, one of Mayberry's Fun Girl's in Ohio.

You are right. We've mentioned several times that when Levy appeared on
SCTV, he played Floyd twice and had him nailed. Once was a spoof called "The
Merv
Griffith Show" in which talk show host Merv Griffin (Rick Moranis) is the
sheriff of Mayberry. The other was in an epic "Godfather" spoof in which Floyd
is nervously requesting the executions of Opie ("He used to be such a nice
boy...he broke my barber pole!") and Howard Sprague ("He owes me for a
haircut!")
only to be told he may be asked to return the favor some day ("Oh wait, I
don't think he really broke it, maybe he just bent it a little!").

I'll echo Tim's comments about Black Mountain. If you're ever traveling up
I-40, it's a neat place to stop. If ya do, have lunch at a place called
Peppers. Then if you're still in that "nostalgic mood" head on up to
Waynesville for much the same athmosphere. And while you're there, stop in
at O.P.Taylor's toy store.

I had a couple of Mayberry moments the other day that I wanted to share with
all of you. I hung my TAGS calendar in the kitchen by the light switch, so it
is the last thing I see when I finish cleaning up the kitchen each evening.
The February picture is the one of Andy and Gomer looking off at Goober doing
his impressions of James Cagney...etc. When I turn out the light I catch
myself saying: "Bye Andy"! Don't you know in my head it sounds like Thelma
Lou when she is trying to make Barney jealous by flirting with Andy in the
episode "Cyrano Andy". The other Mayberry moment I had was this morning. I
enjoy doing word find puzzles and I was finishing some about the state of
Oregon, trees and so on... I turned to the next puzzle and it was entitled:
"The Andy Griffith Show". I was so excited and surprised to see a puzzle for
TAGS when all of the other ones in the book were about trees, or states.

I wonder if Count Itzvan Telecky (sp) had anything to do with that puzzle
appearing in my book??? You think if I wish for a jacknife I will get one???

 Hi all,

I'm taking a moment from my "lurkerdom" to let you all know of a TAGS
happening next month.

I'm an avid Old Time Radio listener and was listening to the weekly "Those
were the days" broadcast today when they announced that their "theme" for next
month will be the broadcasting of OTR personalities that ended up on TAGS.

Howard McNear and Parly Baer were regulars on Gunsmoke, Doc and Chester
respectively, and there are many more.

If anyone is interested, the show is broadcast every Saturday from 2-6 PM
(EST) out of the College of DuPage...WDCB.

 Here is the link:

 http://www.wdcb.org/

Click on the "listen live" area and enjoy.

Remember 2-6 PM EST on Saturdays in March.

 Have fun and happy listening.

                      John
