One of my former boyfriends had quite an interest in possums and would relate
his story of encountering one (it wasn't under a rock though).

A while back one evening my husband and I went to the duck pond to feed them
some stale bread and crackers I wanted to get rid of. There were some lights
so we were able to see the ducks. However I found that Opie was right about
going there at night, but for a different reason. The little ingrates wouldn't
eat my stale offerings and swam away from us. We figured they'd been fed all
day and were probably not hungry any more.

The correct web site for locating Red Hots is "Hometown Favorites.Com"

Sorry about that, put the original message on at 2AM, probably had my eyes
crossed.

Here's my favorite Mayberry Recipe from the first cookbook

This one sounds good. I'm going to try this (at a friend's house,
most likely.)

RODNEY DARLINGS BLACKENED PIG

1 medium to large pig
1 medium size house
Sauce (optional)

Run the pig into the house. Shut all of the doors. Set the house
afire. Return in 3 days with oven mitts.

Search and serve (with sauce if desired)

Serves the entire Darling Family

Shoot, I wouldn't be surprised if ol' Ben didn't have himself buried on
Crowley's empty lot just so he could keep an eye on his store!

Thanks to all of you who led me to the find a grave site. I found my
information about William Randolph Hearst. A special thanks to Tim Bradshaw
who posted the Mayberry Virtual Cemetery in the Digest Vol 4, Issue 47. I
didn't go read each one but I read the list. Tim, thanks for sharing that you
could search by terms like The Andy Griffith Show. I was just putting in
individual names. For those of you who missed it, Tim's link is below. Tim also
wrote, "byBy the way, Will Wright (Ben Weaver) is listed there but his burial
is listed as unknown. Does anyone know where he was laid to rest?" This site
was seeking the same information for Hope Sommers (a.k.a Clara Edwards). So if
anybody knows please go to the site and post it.

Hey, go to "Find A Grave" Website and you will see several members of the
great cast. The site has pictures, and shot bios etc. Here is the link (I
clicked on the second line.) Cathy a.k.a. Skippy.

Ah, Woody, what you wrote (about your town rallying to help
your sick friend) did leave me awfully sad, but it was a sweet-feeling kind of
sad--you know like when you laugh and
cry at the same time. And ain't that one of God's best emotions? It was
indeed a Mayberry thing to do.

Thank you for sharing.

Hey Joe:

I sure hope you're gonna use that soap to wash up with before your salad and
you don't have to eat it. Don't go talkin' dirty now.

Andy Griffith Show, The - Finally, Aunt Bee! Season 2 is Coming!
Posted by David Lambert
 2/17/2005
After Paramount Home Entertainment's release of The Andy Griffith Show - The
Complete 1st Season this past November, the initial plan from them (which was
talked about previously) was to get the show on the fast track, like many other
TV-on-DVD releases from this studio, and hopefully get to the fourth season by
the end of this Summer. That plan got derailed somehow, though, for reasons
that haven't been made public, leaving fans to wonder just when the 2nd season
would arrive on DVD.

Now we have word from industry sources that The Andy Griffith Show - The
Complete 2nd Season is being readied now for a Mid-2005 release, with the date
currently pencilled in (and still very subject to change!) being June 14th.
Chalk this one up to the "rumor" column for now, but stay tuned and we'll fill
you in on the details once the studio gets everything finalized.
