Marsha,
Thank you so much for sharing the pictures of your Taylor Home, it's
incredible!!!
You're pictures we're like taking a look into the real Taylor home. I can't
get over how you even have furniture that resembles the Taylor Home
furniture.
I have to say that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen or should I
say the Mayberriest thing I've ever seen!!
You'll have to let us know when you open it as a B&B, I just have to see
that place in person... it's amazing!!!
Have a Mayberry kind of day,
Jennifer

In the "New Housekeeper" episode, at the very beginning, Andy and his voice
during Rose's marriage ceremony, does not quite match up but it seems to be ok
later on. The Manhunt episode was ok,too. I played it on our laptop computer
but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not? Maybe it will be
better on our DVD player.

Hey - did any of you trained noticers recognize that the statue of Seth
Taylor wasn't real during the unveiling scene? When Aunt Bee pulled the
cover off the statue it started wobbling. It was so obvious that my husband
laughed out loud and pointed it out, and he isn't even a trained noticer!

Another time a character's lips don't line up to what she is actually
saying is when Aunt Bee is telling Andy about the new barber in town and all
the girls he has been talking to--you know
those late night gals like Lindy Lou not showing, etc. (Frankly, I'm drawing a
blank right now as far as those "girls" names. No worries, my mind will clear
up just as soon as I send this in.) Just watch this scene closely. Aunt Bee
must have had to do a voice over because
what she says in the scene does not match the movement of her mouth. Even the
sound is a little different.
But anyway this gives Andy the clue he needs to know that
the knew barber is really a bookie. And Barney gets to dress up like Mrs. Cox
who taught second grade.

That's probably the result of the DVD player having to switch layers. Most
DVDs these days have information stored in two different layers so they can
fit more stuff on the disc. Every now and then the laser has to refocus
itself to read from the other layer, and the result is a momentary pause in
playback (especially on older DVD players). Usually the disc manufacturer
tries to make this pause happen during a scene change, but sometimes they
don't bother to do this.

Paul, does the "progressive scan" DVD players prevent the out-of-sync problem??
I always wondered what that was referring to.
