You folks should see the TV commercials he does in Barney-mode for a car dealer
here in the Triad area of N.C. "It's therapetic!"

I agree. This is (imho) when the series really starts to pick up
steam, and the picture is so clear I see things I've never noticed
before, like Betty Lynn's cute freckles. And it's so much fun to see
Andy and the rest having fun with the sponsor spots. I get sudden
cravings for Sanka and Post cereal at the end of every episode. Who,
though, I wonder, is responsible for putting a picture of Jack Burns on
the menu of one of the DVD's (four, I think)? Maybe somebody at
Paramount couldn't wait for season 6.

I just received my Second Season DVD from Weaver's. Talk about an exciting
day. Couldn't have come at a better time. Memorial Day weekend and our
weather here in Wisconsin is cool and rainy. I get to drive my 1966 Chevy
convertible in our big city parade. I am the lead unit and I am honored to
be able to have with me our local Gold Star Mothers. We will stop atop our
Veteran's Bridge and will toss a wreath into the river. Every time we
attend a parade, I just can't help but really laugh when I picture those
parades in Mayberry. I was just hoping that I could have driven our Potato
Queen in a bathing suit. But come to think of it, we don't have a Potato
Queen. I did teach in a small town near year at one time that had an annual
celebration and parade, and they did have a Cucumber Queen. Now that would
be even funnier. She could ride in an open convertible and hold up a can of
Kerosene.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.
