Nope, that ain't me in the commercials in Dogtown, AL.
There's quite a few folks out there doing a take off on the character. I just
happen to be one of 'em.

Way to go Erin, the Midwest Mocha momma who is proud to be a crossing guard!!
You are not the only fan who is a crossing guard!! ( I also have the gear to
prove it!!)
There have been many a hectic day on the job, when I've almost gotten run
over, that I just once wished I could be Earnest T., and, yes wield a rock or
brick to teach them creatchters a lesson, but, the sane part of me took over.
I enjoyed watching Earnest T.s approach in that instance and got a huge chuckle
out of it. Do enjoy seeing him in the other episodes, too. And am also
surprised to know he not only appeared in 5 episodes, but, directed 8 episodes.
Then, of course were the episodes he did as someone else, and not Earnest T.
We'll miss him at Mayberry Days!!
Also to Dave Millard, of the Dollar and a Quarter Club in New Phila. Ohio--( of
which I am a member)---loved your poem on Earnest T.
Kathy, not fibbing about being a Crossing Guard, and sad to see Howard Morris
pass. Condolences to his family first, and all the fans and friends.

>>>...Buddy Foster (the little boy who plays Mike in the colored series) is
the brother of Jodie Foster the movie star. I have no idea what he has done
recently as far as show business.
>>>
He hasn't acted for about 25 years now, but about eight years ago he wrote a
book entitled "Foster Child." I have not read it, but I am told the book is
very negative in tone, and that he couldn't find many nice things to say
about his talented sister Jodie, or anybody else, for that matter.
It seems he ignored the old rule we all heard from our mothers while growing
up: "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all."

No,it's not David Browning. I don't know who he is, and no offense to who ever
it is, but he doesn't look like David or Barney. It must be some local guy.
David's a much better Barney impersonator, actually, he's the BEST!!

Hey Harriet - are you assuming we don't have boats in Montana? Just kiddin' -
you're right, my flag will be at half staff and I stand corrected. It does
however rhyme better with Ernest T Bass. Thanks for the correction.

I got my season 2 DVD's and had started watching them when I noticed a
goof in the filming that I had never seen before.
Episode: "A Perfect Female"
Goof: Crew visible in scene
When: Karen and Andy are crow shooting.
Right after Andy says, "I gotta get me some new sites".
When the camera switches to Karen, look at the back of the
blanket, on the rock behind Karen, on the right side of the scene.
You will see the top of the head of someone behind the rock moving
just before the camera switches back to Andy.

The June issue of Bluegrass Unlimited contains a 9
page interview with Rodney Dillard. Here is one of
the TAGS quotes: How did the Dillards kill time
between scenes? "Well, sometimes we slept in the
jail. That was the most comfortable place to sleep,
and hopefully nobody else would be in there already,
like Denver (Pyle)."

In case you think I'm some kind of crazy (which I am), but
I really did not mean to send two letters on the same subject to the Digest.
The first one came back to me as being a "reject" of the postal system so I
thought it didn't go through for whatever reason and I wrote another one.
That's why you read two posts sent by Lydia on Buddy Foster. Just thought
you'd like an explanation.
Lydia, It means native of Ancient Greece but that's not where I'm from. I'm
from Greensboro.
