I tapped the hook on my candlestick phone and got Sarah on the line. I
asked her about setting me up with one of them fancy ring tones I keep
hearing about. Man, she gave me what for! She said, "Look, three rules of
thumb about phones in Mayberry! 1.) No dials, 2.) No color choice, only
black. 3.) Phones only go Brrinng!"
I apologized for my ignorance and then asked her to patch me through to
Floyd's. Must be busy there 'cause it took him four rings to pick up!!

Thanks Allan for reminding us all to talk about Mayberry and things related to
TAGS here on the digest. I have been concerned lately because it seemed we
were straying from talking about the best little corner of the world. Allan,
you do a fine job, and I thought you did an excellent job of reminding us. You
were truly a gentleman in the way you brought us back to the topic of TAGS....
"you are a real prince of a fellow". Now don't go talking to yourself in a
looking glass!!!
A week or so ago I wrote to the digest and told all of you about seeing a goat
on the court square in Charleston, Mississippi where my husband is from. I
received the paper from Charleston today and apparently "Jimmy" had been
running all over town for a couple of days. They printed a picture of him at
the drive up window of one of the banks in town. Do you think Jimmy had eaten
all the dynamite he could find and was trying to get some money to buy more???
I have been trying to call Mayor Stoner to find out if he knew, but his
secretary told me that he was in a meeting about the new underpass they are
building at the edge of town. .....just kidding!!

I have been away from the digest for quite awhile, so long that I can't
remember whatever nickname I used when I was here before.
Anyhoo, I received the Season One DVD's for Valentine's Day, and the Season
Two DVD's for Father's Day. Which prompts a question...
The S-2 set has a special feature (a major downfall of the S-1 set IMO) of
the original sponsor spots. My question is does anyone know where in the
episodes the spots ran during the original run? It seems to me that they
played after the epilogue, but I was but a wee lad and really can't
remember.
