*** Then, after the benediction, we had a
pickle eating contest. We even had our own Aunt Bee!***
Does that mean someone imitated Aunt Bee, or someone made a really, really bad
jar of
pickles?

***I believe the commercials were right before the credits, but I can't
really remember. ***

They were. First you had the end of the story, then a regular commercial, then
the epilogue, then the "cast commercial" (the ones you see in the Season 2
DVD's--I sure hope Season 3 keeps up this trend!), then a sponsor billboard
("The Andy Griffith Show, has been brought to you by..." and a shot of Andy and
Opie getting out of the boat with their fish followed by a shot of the
product--Sanka, Post Cereal, Jell-O pudding, etc.), then the credits.

Know what I'd like to see? The original closing credits, where they're heading
home from the fishing trip and Opie drops his fish and runs back to get it.

Speaking of Gomer on DVD, I have a friend who's waiting for Matlock. Any word
on it?

I'll never forget the lecture that Aunt Bee gave Andy when the county
decided to move Mr. Frisbie off of the land that he was born on. She was full
of
passion and conviction. It was great! AND - she was right!

Too bad Mr. Frisbie let her down.

Hi there from hot and sunny Charlotte, NC...just a teeny bit south of
Mayberry!

Some gooduns' from Aunt Bee:

"We can't hold a candle to some of the stories that've come out of Floyd's
Barber Shop! ...Bee to Emma (my jaywalkin' cousin) upon the arrival of the
Manhattan Shoe salesman (or so he says)..in "Those Gossipin' Men".

Another goodun' from that same episode from Walker's Drug store:
"I thought I'd plant a little doubt in that conceited male mind."
...once again, Bee to Emma (wonder if Emma got her pills that day?)

Wouldn't ya just love Aunt Bee's recipe for that Banana Cream Butterscotch
Pie? Clara couldn't win another blue ribbon over Bee for pies! only pickles....

I'm anxiously awaiting my DVD set of the 3rd season of TAGS...it's due out
the 16th!

Sure thinking of Don Knotts and lifting him up in my prayers....I'll sip a
glass of sweet cider just for him.

..off for adventure sleepin'

jaywalkin' joan
