Show me the Mayberry Money
Thanks for all the responses to our "unseen scene" topic. Keep 'em
coming if you see more. Here is another topic for your consideration.
Many times, on our favorite show, we are shown money or some form of
currency (as Mr. Meldrum would say "some more liquid than others.").
I can think of at least 5 forms of currency/legal tender off-hand and
there are probably more.
So can you name the dollar amount and the forms or currency actually
shown?
Also there are times that when an amount of money is mentioned
prominently but the money is "unseen"
Can you name some of these as well?? Now I don't mean price signs, or
what something costs, but when somebody mentions doing something with a
specific amount of money. For instance the Business Man' special for 80
cents doesn't count, but leaving a "quarter" tip does.

Now he's got to show you that little shift key. Not trying to break any
rules, but messages in all caps are hard to read. Of course, they aren't
as hard to read as messages that don't show up at all.

Yes, it's amazing how those background scenes come to the forefront on
the tenth or so time you watch an episode. I can't believe Barney fell
for the microphone gag, but a great episode none the less.

Why is it that Aunt Bee was known for her outstanding cooking, yet she
couldn't make a good pickle and her jam/preserves were awful? It always
seemed out of character for her to make something so bad and not know
it! I asked my mother this question often when I was younger and we
would see that episode. She would always say that every cook sometimes
has a bad day, but they usually knew it.

Has anyone mentioned Aunt Bee's quote to Otis at "The Rock"? "Get to it!"

What were some of the recipes we heard about on the Andy Griffith Show?
I remember one episode when Andy was getting together some unusual ingredients
for a special guest, but memory fails me on the occasion and what was included.
It seems to me like it was orange sherbet, syrup,....What was he preparing and
in what episode did that appear?
Any other recipes that we heard on the show?
Cheers from Texas and the Mayberry Union High Chapter!

Can someone please explain to me how I can already have my copy of the third
season on DVD when they are not supposed to be out until the 16th. I
ordered mine from SAMs club (sorry Weaver) they told me that it would not be
shipped until the 16th, but I have already received them in the mail. And
yes the commercials are on there.

Thought it was interesting that three of the
contestants on the next Survivor TV show have Mayberry
names: Judd, Lydia, & Rafe!

The best way to find out is go to www.tvshowsondvd.com and look. If there is
no news you can sign up for email alerts and as soon as there is some news,
you will find out via email. These electronal marvels are a fascinating thing.
