<< I couldn't get the song to play at the address listed in the letter from

Sorry for that problem. I noticed that after I publicized the website in
WBMUTBB Digest, I could not pull up the website either, UNTIL this morning.
Now it seems to work fine again. I think everyone from Mount Pilot to
Mayberry was trying to tune in, and the site was overwhelmed. I couldn't
even even pull up the site's home page last night. Maybe those sisters
with the versitis were tying up the line. This morning I was hearing that
familiar tune played through my speakers even before the video came to the
screen.

I remember Otis (Hal Smith) on the Brady Bunch episode. If memory serves me
correctly Bobby wasn't in a pie eating competition it was an ice cream eating
competition. Otis was some sort of King ... wore a crown and was the star of a
local kids television show. Posted by Cathy, a.k.a. Skippy one of Mayberry's
Fun Girls in Celina, Ohio.

Otis was also on the Brady Bunch one time. He was the host of a pie eating
contest that Bobby once entered.
>From a restaurant, to a pie eating contest, to moonshine. Oh where oh where
did Otis go wrong? I wonder if he ever hit his mother in law in the mouth
with a pie.

George Neise also costarred in THE THREE STOOGES IN ORBIT (1962), in two
roles: Ogg the Martian, and a cameo as an airline pilot.

Hal Smith provided voice-overs for the majority of the 156 THE NEW 3 STOOGES
(1965) television cartoons.

The Executive Producer of THE NEW 3 STOOGES was married to Margaret Kerry,
Mayberry's Bess Muggins ("Christmas Story") and Helen Scoby ("Andy
Forecloses").
Margaret appeared in a handful of the series' live-action wraparounds, and
like Hal Smith, did voice-overs for most of the cartoons.

Other Mayberry veterans worked with the Three Stooges. Off the top of my
head:

- Howard Morris (STAR SPANGLED SALESMAN 1968), our own Ernest T. Bass.
- Mary Treen (SWING PARADE OF 1946), Rose and other 1st season characters.
- Emory Parnell (ALL THE WORLD'S A STOOGE 1941), Helen's Uncle Edward in
"Dinner at Eight" and a juror in "Aunt Bee the Juror."
- Sylvia Lewis (BEDLAM IN PARADISE 1955), Flossie in "Banjo-Playing Deputy."
Sylvia was also Desilu's staff choreographer, and her behind-the-scenes work
can be enjoyed in "The Senior Play," "The Wedding," and others.
- Burt Mustin (SNOW WHITE AND THE THREE STOOGES 1961) aka Jud and other
miscellaneous Mayberry roles.
- Herbie Faye (SNOW WHITE AND THE THREE STOOGES 1961) from "Banjo-Playing
Deputy" and "Opie's Tape Recorder."
- Milton Frome (QUIZ WHIZZ 1958, PIES AND GUYS 1958) from "Aunt Bee Takes a
Job."
- Phil Arnold (SING A SONG OF SIX PANTS 1947, TRICKY DICKS 1953, PARDON MY
BACKFIRE 1953 and THE THREE STOOGES GO AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAZE 1963) was in
"A Black Day for Mayberry."
- Elvia Allman (TIME OUT FOR RHYTHM 1941) from "The Beauty Pageant."
- Ellen Corby (4 FOR TEXAS 1963), Hubcaps Lesch in "Barney's First Car."

Re: This movie also stars John Prine (His music is fabulous)...

You got that right! John is easily one of the ten best songwriters in
the world, and when I had the great joy of seeing him play in Denver
some time back, I was blowed away! That three-man band put up a wall
of sound and they were the tightest band I have ever heard.

Prine is a big TAGS fan, too.

Just got Season 3 for my 48th birthday(which is technically tommorow)
but anyway, they are so nice, I
watched a couple of episodes & they are very good quality in sound &
picture. I would recommend if your
a real TAGS fan that you add this set to your collection.......Dave("

By the way for those wanting to know.
The epilog for the Darlings are Coming episode shows
Andy just finishing marrying Jud and Darlene. and then
Briscoe, the Boys, and Andy all play Get Along Home Cindy Cindy
while Jud and Darlene dance. The episode then fades out while
they are still playing.

This episode also has as far as I can remember the only time that
the boy's talk. This is when they are in the jail eating supper.
One of them says to Aunt Bee that he is about to pop when she asks him
if he wants any more, and then all the boys thank Aunt Bee for supper.
