What's all this talk about suspendin' belief and rationale? Let me guess,
Goober's been off on another huntin' trip and you've been talking to Goober
haven't you. FLOYD, bring your razor and come with me, we've got some
shaving to do down at Wallys!

Since he claimed to be Bernard P. Fife, Attorney at Law, and since he was
going to sue the Miracle Salve Company, perhaps Barney's middle inital stood
for
"Plaintiff." Anybody have a better idea?

I always wondered why one of them didn't follow in the squad car just in
case the car broke down. (Obviously a likely occurence) If they wanted to raid
Ms. Lesch's place, they could have stopped before they got there and both gone
in with Barney's car. Also, how were they going to get home if they gave the
car back? Crazy! Guess they just weren't thinking......

How about near kisses?? That would be the time that Andy lost his sense and
almost kissed the female prisoner ( Susan Oliver ).
Didn't Andy kiss Thelma Lou when he was pretending that he was in love with
her?

Hey to all!!! Just wanted to share a mayberry moment I had on Saturday. My
grandmother is very ill so pray for her. We had went to the hospital to visit
her and when we got into the elevator I noticed above the floor numbers a
silver tag on the wall will the elevator serial number I guess and on the tag
above the serial numbers was the name Otis. I have never really noticed this
on
elevators before I guess it was the name that stuck out. There was a bunch of
other people besides my family on there with us, and I not thinking said to my
husband, gee this elevator is named Otis, and laughed. A lady on there
looked up to were I was looking and said well it sure is.
Just though I'd share that, it sure lifted my spirits that day.

Did anyone else hear them play "the Fishin' Hole" on Boston Legal tonight? I
just turned my tv on at the very end. Does anyone that watched the whole show
know why they were playing it?

This subject brought to mind the episode where Barney storms into Andy's
house to tell him about Gomer and Thelma Lou. I always crack up when he tells
Andy they were KISSING! Then he says "You couldn't have gotten a piece of
tissue
paper between them!" Then the scene that takes place after that where Gomer
comes in and Barney keeps trying to "get at him" is also hilarious.
In the episode where Barney and Goober are spying on Helen and Andy, I fall
over laughing at Goober's reaction to that kiss. "Look Barn, they're doing it,
they're doing it...way to go Andy...you too Helen!" And later on when he and
Lydia go into Helen's house and she asks them to sit down and Goober says to
Lydia, "that's the couch I was telling you about."
Then there's the one where Andy kisses Helen in the jewelry store when she
was buying a bracelet for her neice.
I could go on and on...but I won't.

>>>I watched the episode this week where Barney hosts The Bachelor
show...well actually he and Thelma Lou try to find Andy a mate, and
Barney invites all those women over the Andy's house..supposedly to meet
Thelma Lou.
What I just wondered is where is Aunt Bee?<<<
Well, I thought I knew the answer to this question, but I wanted to watch the
episode again to make sure, and I finally did tonight. Since no one else has
answered so far, I thought I'd satisfy Joe's curiosity. Before all the
eligible ladies show up at Andy's door, Aunt Bee leaves to take some supper to
Clara. (Clara spilled some grease behind her stove and then tried to move the
stove to clean it up so that ants wouldn't get into it. But she hurt herself
in the process and is now walking crooked.) That sets the stage for all the
town cuties to descend on an unprotected Andy.
Were you watching this episode on TV, Joe? If so, they must have cut out the
part of the scene that shows Aunt Bee leaving. No wonder you were confused.
The ever helpful,
Thelma Lou

Star Trek in Mayberry. Shatner in Star Trek. Anyone hear anything familiar at
the end of last night's episode of Boston Legal?
