Since Newton Monroe has become "ept" at painting, maybe you could get him to
put a coat of gold paint on your yellow door.

HI ...

Thanks for all the bits on ANDY on recieving his award.
I had to leave for work just as they were getting to it.

Mayberry jobs,,, Remember they guy who made birds for
womens hats...
Otis was a brine tester at the pcikle factory and a glue
dipper at the furniture factory, and in the reunion movie
Return To mayberry
Otis drove the ice cream truck...

I have a mayberry moment to share...

I took my dog for a walk this morning down town. I get a coffee
and I tie her up to the newspaper stand out front.

a Little boy and his mom stopped and pet her sdmiling at her..

I saw 2 old men stop and pat her head and smile at her...
They reminded me of the 2 guys who played checkers at the mayberry hotel.

Its not too funny it was just a sweet sight to see.

Have a mayberry day and stop to enjoy the little things that
we can miss in our out of control world.

ERin

I don't know if this question has been asked before, but how many episodes did
Elinor Donahue appear in as Ellie Walker?

Yes, it was Liebestraum by Liszt. I googled it and was able to listen to an
instrumental version of it. If Ange used it on a comedy album, it must've been
a favorite of his, hence the use of it for the choir too. Just another insight
into his lovely personality. Thanks to Paul and Jeff for their invaluable help.

I read on the internet where a copy of the Emancipation Proclamation was sold
for $688,000. This copy was autographed by Abraham Lincoln. Of course, I
immediately thought of Barney's trouble with remembering what the Emancipation
Proclamation was. I think it went something like this (though probably not
word for word): "Well, there was this group of people, see. And how else were
they going to get themselves emancipated unless they had a proclamation?!" :)

The link above allows you to search all the episode of TAGS for just
this type of information. Just go there and type in "Donahue" and
search to get a complete list of the episodes in which she appeared.

I want to invite EVERYBODY to visit http://Mayberry.com/

There are all kinds of things there for Mayberry fans. Head over and
give a look around just to see what's there. You might be surprised.
(Plus, I work hard on it and it's disheartening that folks don't realize
it's there. ha ha)

Don't underestimate your contribution, Sue. A couple of years ago during the
Mayberry Days Trivia Contest, weren't you the only one in our group on the
hill that knew who called to tell Aunt Bee about the car in the court house?

Sorry to report the death of Joel Redlin on Nov 15th. He played in some
of the Mayberry shows. I remember when he played cousin Ferdy and
played the piano for Aunt Bee. Joel graduated from Eau Claire Wisconsin
High School in 1946. He lived in Los Angeles.
and was planning to attend his class reunion
in 2006.

Last night I saw something curious in the ep in which Andy asked Miss Ellie
to the church picnic. During the scene where Andy is getting riled up and
telling Aunt Bee about "desperate women", twice we see a painting hanging in
the
dining room. But about 2/3 of the painting was blacked out. It wasn't part of
the painting, but was just a huge solid black area, as if to disguise the
painting. Any ideas why?
Also....congratulations to Andy on being awarded the Medal of Freedom.
Without Andy et al, our souls would be a little bit colder.
