My wife and I have been on a 24 kick this past couple of weeks. (Kiefer
Sutherland TV show) We have rented the 2nd season of the show and are catching
up on the special features. In Episode <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />11:00 12:00, there is a
commentary done by some of the cast members. About halfway through it, they
begin discussing a house that is used for much of the season. The house is a
beautiful white home (Victorian style as best I can tell). I believe one of
the cast members said that it was owned by Frank Sinatra at one point. Then
later owned by our own Andy Griffith! Didnt say how long he owned it or who
it was sold to.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Kind of weird thinking that the former sheriffs house plays a role in
international terrorism!!!

Allan,
Not exactly sure when I joined, but it was one of the best things to ever
happen to me.TAGS is my favorite show in the world and to have the pleasure of
belonging to this wonderful group of people that share my love for the show is
a blessing in many ways.It reminds me of the good and kind things that still
exist in our world through the people I "talk" to in the WBMUTBB. I'm so glad
that I came across the website and found this group.I don't often write in but
I love to read what others write and am amazed at the details that the "trained
noticer" offer for discussion.I guess that I'd have to say that this club
"beats everthing"! God bless you Alan for your hard work and the blessed joy
you bring to me everyday, along with the other members' writings!

Hey friends,
I thought I would pass this opportunity on to may Mayberry friends before I go
the Internet auction route.
I am selling my framed mayberry signature pieces. Most of these signatures were
obtained by me in person from the performer shown. The others were obtained
from reputable dealers and I believe them to be authentic.
Go to this link: http://mayberryemporium.net/html/a_little_about_me.html
You can see a close-up of an item by clicking on it. Any light spots, dark
spots, crooked lines, fuzziness, etc. is a result of the digital photos. I had
to get at some strange angles to prevent glare from the flash. Each item is
framed and ready to display. I have enjoyed them for many years and it is time
to pass them along.
I have several more items that aren't shown on the web site. If you are
interested in them let me know.
I will be shipping the items via UPS or USPS Priority for actual costs. Please
remember costs include packaging, etc.
If you see an item you are interested in shoot me an email at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and I'll give you a price. Please don't respond to the digest about this. Some
are a little pricey but you won't find better examples anywhere. I see people
spend hundreds of dollars on fake autographs everyday. These are the real deal.
I will hold off going to eBay until Dec. 5. That gives you a couple of weeks to
browse and decide if you want any of these items. And I can get them to you by
Christmas.
I hope everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving!!
Gary

I became a member of TAGSRWC and WBMUTBB in January of 1999 and the digest has
been the one constant good thing that I get in my email box on an almost daily
basis. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I never realized I was a TAGS fan
until the late 80's.
I was living in Arkansas, and Andy came on not long after I got home from work.
I watched it everyday but it wasn't until I "shushed" my girlfriend during an
episode that I realized just how much I liked this one show on television.
(And don't think she didn't call me on it. LOL)
Finding out years later that I wasn't the only TAGS fan out there (via the
internet) and that we could share our interest in this show together thru the
digest was a really great thing.
Thanks for all you do Alan, you're a prince!

Sheila,
I haven't seen the Bonanza episode you are referring to with Mayor Stoner in
it, but
the TAGS episode "TV or not TV" that refers to the movie "Sheriff without a
gun" was
broadcast March 1, 1965. I'll bet the writers worked on the TAGS script in
late 1964,
so the Bonanza and TAGS episodes were certainly broadcast close to each other.
It's
possible TAGS got the idea from Bonanza. It would be interesting if the two
episodes
had the same writers.
10-4.

Looking at Ellie's travels: She started in Springfield where she went to high
school. Then she must have gone to college and some sort of medical school for
pharmacy after that and before she moved to Mayberry. (These years are
undocumented. Personally I think she attended the University of Illinois--but
I could be wrong.) After her year in Mayberry she shows up in New York.
Anyone know if that was a direct move or did she "live" anywhere in between
Mayberry and New York? And why do you think she stopped being a pharmatist?

Well, actually, with Christmas coming up, money's a little tight, so I'm
considering patronizing those two fellas with their truck parked right outside
of town. They sure have a wide range of farm-fresh produce in those baskets,
and their prices just can't be beat!!
On second thought, they aren't one of our own local merchants, and I do like to
patronize our local merchants. Also, they don't seem too friendly, even a
might intimidating. Clara Edwards said she went out there and bought the
biggest squash they had (you remember that really huge one?), and they wouldn't
even put it in her car for her! Once they had her money in hand, they were
done with her. She had to drag it to her car herself, and now the poor thing
is walkin' crooked. I took a little supper over to her tonight just to help
out. Clara really appreciated it.
No, come to think of it, I'm going to do ALL my Thanksgiving shopping at
Foley's! (Hope they don't run out of trading stamps before I get there!)
