It's hard to choose one Floyd moment or episode as best. Convicts at large is
one of my favorites. In the episode with Blue when Barney tells him the dog is
looking for him, and he says "I'm right here" then "he's getting colder" and
when he's sitting in the car in the courthouse and says "I just might buy this
car" the way he delivers the lines in the situation makes them funnier than the
actual words. I also crack up when he's talking about Andy's hair and gives
him a little slap on the head.

Howard McNear made Floyd the beloved character he is.

I was at work being a back up cashier I have a button with a picture of my
dog

I said she is an english yellow lab... ( I've never heard of a snow lab)

This lady continues.. she is stocky...there is a dog like that is at the
coffeehouse...

I siad " That is us.... She is tied to the news paper stand"

a cute story not mayberry related but I will make Spirit watch TAGS

Our 3 favorite is when Ellie comes to town.. The Cow thief... and Fun

Well, just when me and Laura Lee Hobbs are at our wits end
and ready to give up ever figuring out the origins of Mr. Schwamp, along
comes--who else--but our intrepid The Untrained Voice to solve it for us!
Beautiful, just beautiful.
Just to restate it a bit.
Schwamp stands for Smiling, Child-like, Homely, Winsome, Affable, Meek, Person
and the actor playing the part of the
Smiling, Child-like, Homely, Winsome, Affable, Meek, Person
stuttered so badly no one ever got his real named so just called him the first
letters of his trademark description.
That part was a little sad for the real actor, but here we are years later,
still remembering him. Now that's not so sad, is it?
And if you read The Untrained Voice's post slowly enough, in places it sounds
almost like a prayer.
Beautiful, just beautiful.
So, thank you The Untrained Voice, you have done a Mighty Work for us all. You
may take a bow.
Me and Laura Lee Hobbs can't stand not knowing; we don't mind being left out of
the loop every now and then; but we can't stand not knowing.

Wow! What a quick response to my offer to send The Mayberry Confidential to
the first e-mailer! The ink was hardly dry on the WBMUTBB digest when I got
the first e-mail. So, if you were meaning to send an e-mail but haven't gotten
around to it yet, then don't worry about it.

Of course, I'd always welcome you to stop in and just chat, even if I don't
have anything else to give away.

Here's wishing all of you all a M(ayb)erry Christmas!

Kindest regards,

Mark Selby.

First and foremost, my favorite naughty person, without a doubt, has to be
Mavis Neft. She just makes me bubbly wubbly all over. I am sure she would
just flip over my laugh lines.

Secondly, regarding Barney's wardrobe, why, in the episode where he moves
out of Mrs. Mendlebright's boarding house, would Barney have a striped
necktie hanging in his closet. I have never ever seen Barney wear anything
other than a bowtie, except for his tie for his uniform. The only things
hanging in his closet were his salt and pepper suit and that striped
necktie. Of course, maybe it was just for decor. It could have been one of
those things he added to his room because it was drab.
